Chapter 4: Carpe Diem/Seize the Day

⠀⠀Are movies romantic? Eren queried as he readied himself. With yesterday's information still lodging in his brain, he was also nervous.

⠀⠀A few, short hours ago, Levi had invited him to the movie theatre as a way to spend any casual Saturday, as if going to the threatre with another boy wasn't different.

⠀⠀Not at all!

⠀⠀But it was a good kind of different.

⠀⠀He didn't even know what movie they were seeing, nor did Eren care. Honestly, he just cared that he was hanging out with Levi.

⠀⠀Eren tried to dress rather fancy, but ended up in a Doctor Who tee shirt, with skinny jeans and Converse high tops. He stuck a twenty in his back pocket and examined his reflection in the mirror.

⠀⠀He shrugged, fretting what Levi would think. Eren knew it didn't matter, but having Levi as a friend mattered, and he wanted to make a pleasant first impression. He wanted Levi to be with him, maybe as a friend, maybe even more. All Eren knew is he had an intense affection towards Levi.

Eren texted that he'd be walking. Did he not want to sit in a car with Levi?

⠀⠀Sure, they were just friends. Only friends. He had an attractive friend with the same interests as him.

⠀⠀My god, he thought, his gay side was embracing itself.

⠀⠀He continued gathering necessities for the movie, when he noticed the time.

⠀⠀"Damn!" He grabbed a coat, knowing if traffic was heavy, he'd be late. Shoving the key in, he started his car and hastily backed out, driving down the road.

⠀⠀He made it just in time, he saw Eren walking up the sidewalk, hands in his pockets, head down, and ear buds in. Levi slammed his car door, shoving the key in his pocket.

⠀⠀"Hi," Eren said breathily. "I'm glad you made it." Levi didn't notice he nodded until Eren motioned him indoors.

⠀⠀As the line inched forwards, he captured a glance at his face. Pale skin, turquiose, no, green? Blue? His eyes were so fascinating, Levi had to get a better view.

⠀⠀Soon, they were in line to pay hundreds of dollars for a bucket of popcorn. Like seriously, movie theatres had the most overpriced food.

⠀⠀Saying their orders, the men reached in their pockets to pay.

⠀⠀"I've got the bill, Levi."

⠀⠀"Eren, that's fine. I've got it." Eventually, they split the bill, and moved onto their movie.

⠀⠀The Insurgent theatre wasn't as packed as Eren had expected it to be. Shrugging internally, he sat next to Levi and began to eat his candy.

⠀⠀Tris was trying to unlock all five of the factions for the box with a hidden message. She was currently on Amity.

⠀⠀"It's not me you're going against, Tris." As the camera panned to a second Tris, someone played "surprise motherfucka". (fun fact: Thursday night I saw Insurgent and this happened xD)

⠀⠀"Levi did you-?" He started to chuckle, and Eren knew Levi indeed did hear it.

After the movie, Levi drove Eren back to his house, which happened to be empty. Eren opened the door, offering Levi a drink.
