Levi's POV

"Truth."

"Do you like me, romantically?" He stared at me blankly. Then, he proceeded to laugh and shake his head.

"I experiment."

"Truth or dare?" he asked eagerly.

"Dare."

"Close your eyes and open your mouth." I definitely had trust issues, because I didn't want him going anywhere near my mouth.

But doing as I was told, something bounced off my tooth and landed on my lap.

"Great aim, Farlan." I said sarcastically, and reached for the piece of candy that missed my mouth. Flicking my wrist, it flew out of my pinched fingers and hit between his eyes. Farlan chuckled as I let the corners of my lips barely lift.

Farlan noticed that I never smiled, and he saw the corners of my lips twitch upward. Then, he proceeded to ask "Levi, why do you never smile?"

"That, I will not tell you."

"Why not?"

"You'll blab to everyone about it." Saying that, he looked mildly hurt. I adverted my gaze to the floor.

"I may seem bubbly, but I'm more than that." He said, slouching and hugging his knees. "I can be loyal."

After minutes of silence, I spoke up. "There's not a valid reason, really. I was always a stoical person." Clearing my throat, I played with my fingers. "I've always been pessimistic, and I was never taught how to deal or show emotions. My parents were always distant from me." Farlan rocked back and forth, intrigued.

"I never had the family trip to Disneyland childhood. Everyone in my family kept to themselves. My parents didn't show concern for me or my well being until later in life." I swallowed my spit, my throat becoming dry. "Yeah, we'd talk and sometimes have movie nights. My parents traveled a lot, so we were left home alone or with a babysitter that would be on their phones the whole time." Why was I opening up to Farlan? He wasn't my best friend, and as loyal as he may be, did he deserve to hear my whole story?

"High school came, and it changed my perspective on things. I'll get further into detail, but not now." He nodded, and was quiet for a while. For a while, the only thing I heard was the hum of the heater. My phone rang, my screen bright with a notification.

Dork said:

"missin' you. /: what should we do for your eighteenth bday? (;"

"Aw, cute." I said aloud, while typing back a reply.

"Who, me?" Farlan said with a smirk.

"No, dumb ass. I was talking about myself." He looked over my shoulder, and it was too late to hide my screen.

"Who's Dork?"

"My boyfriend, Eren."

"You aren't eighteen yet?"

"I got moved up in grade school. They thought I could use a challenge. I was the youngest person in my class."

"And the shortest." I punched his shoulder.

"My sister and I are a year and two-ish months apart in age. She's turning 17 in February." He seemed to have lost interest when I started that sentence.
