Chapter 17: Concord
(concord as in peace/harmony, not the town)

Third Person
Sitting through class, all Levi could think about is Eren's and Levi's future wedding. Would it be on a beach, or indoors? What about a garden? How would the wedding be paid for?
"Read pages 48-63, and 70-79 to complete the packet." He groaned, and a few people spared a glance at him. People were also picking up the said packet from her desk. "And have a lovely evening."
Outside, it was sunny for a winter day. There wasn't much, or any, snow on the ground. Everything was dead, wet, and frozen.
If birds were here, they'd be singing. Levi thought as he walked away from his dorm. It's too nice to sit inside and finish h- never mind. The gust of wind chilled his bones.
His campus had a mediocre coffee place. It wasn't terrible, but certainly not Starbucks. Only the hipsters hung out there, everyone else just got their orders and left.
It was like the Central Perk, from Friends. There were couches, a cozy atmosphere - beside the angry hipsters -, free wifi, and every mug was unique.
"How may I help you?" A familiar red head asked. She seemed professional, almost tame, which was a peculiar sight for him.
"I'll take a cinnamon latte." Izzy nodded, typing the order into the cash register.
"Anything else, shorty?"
"For you to shove a muffin up your nostrils." She laughed lightly, and started his order. For some reason, seeing Izzy working made him want to be around positive energy, and she her in a work environment.
"Oi, I'll actually have it for here."
"Not in a rush, eh?" She said, pulling a red and green mug from underneath the counter.
"I have nothing better to do." He said truthfully. He seated himself at a bar stool.
A silence filled the air, before she asked "How's Eren dealing with everything? I heard what happened."
"He's handling it way better than I thought." He looked around. "Promise you can keep a secret?" She nodded, eyes wide. "We're planning on getting married." She squealed and everyone looked at them.
"But you're both so young? This is so amazing, though! Good f-"
"Izzy! We aren't rushing into anything. In a year or two, we're planning to plan the wedding. But, we're still going to go through college. Tonight I was planning on getting a promise ring." She grinned and started jumping.
"When I get off in twenty minutes, I am so bringing you to the mall!" He barely grinned, feeling that his emotions were slowly restoring. Working on recovery from being an emotionless dud to an emotional dud was steadily, and surely, working.

Happily, Izzy and Levi maneuvered through the packed mall walk ways. Five minutes later, they reached their destination.
"Get him this one!" She said, pointing to the first flashy ring she saw in the jewelers.
"I was thinking of keeping it simple, but thanks for the suggestion." A salesmen confidently walked up to Levi, and showed him a variety of rings.
It wasn't until an hour later they found the perfect ring. Passing by the glass cases made Levi cringe and squirm with disgust. Not only were there finger prints, but smeared boogers and food stains - or so he hoped.
