Neighborhood (Gguktaekook)

TP POV:

Jungkook was so shaken up that he wouldn't leave Taehyung at all. He kept clinging onto him and refused to let go. He would also start having panick attacks the minute Jeongguk left his sight. So basically Taehyung and Jeongguk had to stay near Jungkook at all times.

Jimin didn't know what to do so he urged them all to sleep in his room and he himself slept on the couch. Taehyung's room wasn't reliable at the moment.

They decided to sleep because it was obviously a very traumatic day. But the twins would wake up every time they went to sleep because of nightmares.

Jungkook was having a header time than Jeongguk but Taehyung noticed that both of them were losing sleep.

the younger twin clung onto him when the blond layed down. His face buried in Taehyung's chest. Jungkook took in deep breaths to calm himself down after his nightmares and Taehyung's scent seemed to do the trick.

But every time he would open his eyes after the nightmares the first person he'd always look for was his brother. Jeongguk attempted to sleep on the left side of Jungkook as Taehyung was sleeping on the right. But that didn't help since he wasn't in his brother's immediate sight when he woke up.

So the elder raven had to go to Taehyung's right side. So the blond was now sandwiched between the two twins. He was spooning Jungkook whilst Jeongguk was spooning him.

This position made the blond blush and his heartbeat sped up. So much so that he feared Jungkook would hear him. But eventhough the position was a bit uncomfortable, Taehyung found himself having a better night's sleep than usual.

The next morning when the blond woke up he found Jungkook still sound asleep in his arms but Jeongguk was nowhere in sight. Taehyung decided to search for the other later since Jungkook really needed the rest.

So the blond stayed in that position as he combed through the raven's silky locks. Jungkook's face still buried in his chest.

Whilst playing with Jungkook's hair Taehyung started thinking about what happened in these past few weeks. The kind lady that gave him cookies got killed. He found out he had a stalker that came into his room when he fell asleep. And then last night the twins' house burned down.

Also for some odd reason, Jungkook was having a very hard time about this, way more than Jeongguk. He understood that everyone greived differently. But Jungkook's trauma didn't seem to come from his house burning down but because of the fire itself.

The previous night when Jimin turned on the stove to make some hot cocoa Jungkook absolutely freaked out and bolted. The best friends thought it was because of what happened a few minutes prior. But Jungkook kept mumbling things like "they are going to kill me" and "they want to burn me alive".

So clearly this wasn't about the house fire.

A slight shuffle and Taehyung was snapped out of his daze. He looked down to see Jungkook slowly waking up. "Hey, you okay Kookie?" The blond asked as sweetly as he could. Jungkook just nodded his head that was still against his chest.

"What time is it?" Jungkook's groggy voice spoke. "It's...half past ten" Taehyung answered looking at the clock, arms still around the bulky male. Jungkook hummed as he backed up just a little so he could look at the blond's face.

"Thank you. For being there." the raven said with a small smile. Taehyung smiling in return as well. "You needed me. How could I not" he replied and pecked Jungkook's hair which he never stopped stroking.

"Where's Gguk?" The raven asked looking around. "He's probably downstairs. He wasn't here when I woke up." Taehyung answered again. Jungkook nodded understanding.

"We should go too then" the raven said moving a bit. Taehyung nodded, "how about you go freshen up in the bathroom and come downstairs? I'll go to my bathroom" he told as he looked Jungkook's charcoal eyes.

Jungkook hummed and pecked Taehyung's forehead before turning and getting up from bed. Taehyung laid alone in Jimin's bed for a second longer. But then got up too.

He freshed up and went downstairs before Jungkook. Said male was taking a shower. When he walked down he was greeted by Jimin who was watching some show on the TV and soft noises coming from the kitchen.

He greeted Jimin on his way to the kitchen. Inside he saw Jeongguk cutting up some vegetables. His sleeves pulled up, tattoos showing, hair neatly combed, looking like a prince walking out if a fairytale. You know, the usual.

But that was unusual. Jeongguk looked a bit too put together for someone who just had a traumatic experience. He seemed to have moved on a little too quickly for his mental health.

"Morning Ggukie" the blond greeted as he walked closer. "morning petal" the raven greeted back. "What are you making?" He asked as he looked at the heating pan and the vegetables the raven was cutting.

"I'm making omelettes and toast" he replied. He seemed slightly distant today. "I see. You should have woken me up. I would've liked to help" he said with a pout. Jeongguk chuckled and finally looked him in the eye. His eyes holding fondness that made Taehyung's tummy tingle.

"You were sleeping too cutely for me to do that. Besides, waking you up meant waking Kook up in the process. Where is he though?" The raven asked before going back to cutting.

"He's getting freshed up. Can I help with anything?" He asked trying to find something to do but Jeongguk seemed to have done everything already. Now he felt bad. "I've got it Tae. It'll be done shortly" he answered instead.

"He kicked me out of the kitchen when I tried to help Tae!" Jimin shouted from the couch making both of them chuckle.

"By the way, I gave you my entire closet and you chose to wear formal clothes? Why?" He asked as he looked at the other up and down. He had on a button up white shirt, black dress pants, and even a tie.

Jeongguk seemed to have went tense at the question. He chewed on his bottom lip nervously. "What's wrong Ggukie?" Taehyung was starting to get concerned. Jeongguk shook his head and sighed. "I'm um... I'm going to make a few calls and get builders ready to rebuild our house. I was going to go to the bank after breakfast" he explained in a small voice.

Taehyung just stood there for a second, frozen. "Why? You shouldn't be thinking about all of this already Jeongguk. Your house burned last night. You should be resting for a few days to give your mind a chance to catch up with everything" the blond tried to make the other understand.

"You can stay here for as long as you need to Ggukie. We won't mind. Why are you rushing this?" The blond tried to reach out to the raven.

Jeongguk sighed and looked down at the chopping board. "Your backyard has a clear view of our house Taehyung. Everytime Jungkook will see it he will have a panick attack. I want him to feel at ease as soon as possible" Jeongguk told his point of view.

Taehyung looked at the elder twin in confusion. "I've been meaning to ask. Is Jungkook afraid of fire?" He finally asked. Jeongguk stayed silent for a minute before answering. "Yeah. He used to be deathly afraid. And after years of therapy he was living great. But last night's incident might just have made him regress." The raven said with a defeated sigh.

Taehyung looked at the other with empathy but he didn't push the topic further. "Take a break still Ggukie. We'll make sure to stay with Kookie every step of the way. Okay?" Taehyung tried to convince him once more.

"I don't want to be a burden Tae" Jeongguk looked like he was about to cry any second. The blond stepped forward and hugged the other. "Hey, you'll never be a burden Ggukie. Don't ever think that." Taehyung said in an audible whisper.

Jeongguk finally let a tear slip from his eye. Taehyung hugged him tighter. And soon Jeongguk was hugging him back too. "It's okay. It's going to be okay" Taehyung patted Jeongguk's back in reassurance.

"I h-hope so petal" the raven whispered.
