TP POV:

Taehyung's father was back. And he had already killed two people. The blond couldn't help but feel it was his fault. If only he hadn't ran away. Those two people would be alive...

He jerked out of his daze when Jimin shook him a little. The blond blinked multiple times to link back to reality. This time he was the one drifting into space instead of Jungkook.

He saw the said raven look at him worriedly. Yoongi and Namjoon had left sometime ago to put in a wanted chase on his father. But Jeongguk was nowhere to be found.

"Where's Ggukie?" He asked and looked at his boyfriend. "He's taking a shower baby. Why don't you call him for lunch?" Jungkook asked softly. It was clear he was trying to be delicate as possible.

Taehyung nodded and walked upstairs to get his other boyfriend. His mind was still in the clouds when Taehyung mindlessly barged into Jimin's room.

He took a double take when he saw the raven standing there with his bare back to him. Taehyung gasped when he saw nasty scars decorating the entirety of Jeongguk's back. Whatever caused these scars must have been painful.

Hearing the blond's sudden gasp made Jeongguk quickly turn around. The raven's eyes were blown wide from shock. "T-tae" he stuttered but the blond didn't respond. Instead he walked closer.

Jeongguk gulped and his muscles stiffened when Taehyung's delicate fingers gently touched his bare shoulders. He looked straight at his sweet honey eyes to see if there was any sign of disgust but found none.

Taehyung gently reassured him like a coaxing angel, his grip gentle and his expression so tender. Jeongguk felt like Taehyung was the safest place to keep his darkest secrets. He felt safe.

And so he slowly turned around again. His heart hammered against his chest in anxiety as he felt Taehyung's fingertips touch his scars. He could hear Taehyung's shallow breaths, how they became more shaky.

The blond then guided him by the shoulders gently to turn back around to face him. He was so so afraid to meet the latter's eyes. So afraid of being judged, so afraid that he'd ask what happened. He wasn't ready to talk about this yet.

"Hey, it's okay. Tell me when you feel like telling me Ggukie. I will never force you" there it was. That sweet voice that's deeper than the ocean. His heart flipped at how he whispered so warmly. Jeongguk sighed in relief and embraced the petit male in his arms.

"You're amazing" the raven whispered as he hugged him closer, breathing in his beautiful scent. "How else would I be your boyfriend?" Taehyung replied instead and giggled. Jeongguk couldn't help but chuckle before leaning back little.

"Of course. I don't deserve anything less, do I?" The raven teased as well earning himself another cute giggle. "Absolutely" Taehyung smiled. He pulled the raven closer and softly pecked his lips.

Jeongguk couldn't help but smile as well. He wanted to kiss his boyfriend one more time but his phone just had to meddle in. The raven groaned making Taehyung laugh. The blond finally having something to distract himself from the harsh reality.

Jeongguk took his phone from the nightstand and answered the call. His torso still bare. Taehyung walked up to him and hugged his back as Jeongguk talked.

Taehyung suddenly felt another pair of arms hold onto his waist making him squeak in surprise. Both him and Jeongguk turned to see who it was only to find Jungkook.

Taehyung didn't say anything else and just pecked the latter's cheek. Jungkook smiled at his babydoll and nuzzled his nose into the crook of Taehyung's neck.

They stayed in that position till Jeongguk finally got off the call. Both his boyfriend and his brother staring at him intently. "We got called back for work. We need to leave in an hour" the raven announced. Now both Taehyung and Jungkook whined in unison.

"I'll go tell Jimin, you two come down for lunch right now" Jungkook declared before leaving the room. "Oh by the way, the construction workers will be here later today to fix our house." Jeongguk informed whilst pulling on a shirt and walking behind Taehyung. "Oh. That's good" Taehyung said and nodded.

"How did the house catch fire in the first place?" The blond mumbled to himself as they were walking down the stairs. "I have no idea petal. We were sleeping and then I'm waking up to Kook screaming" Jeongguk explained the traumatizing event.

Taehyung shuddered at just the thought. "That must have been so scary Ggukie" he said rather guiltily for bringing up the horrible memories. "It was, but I wasn't as scared as before" Jeongguk said lowly probably not intending for Taehyung to hear but he did.

The statement brought Taehyung back to the scars he saw on Jeongguk. They looked like severe burn marks. The thought made Taehyung shiver again. To have your entire back burned must have been so painful. The blond couldn't even imagine.

They walked into the kitchen to see Jungkook and Jimin bickering again. Judging by how pissed Jimin looked Taehyung could guess Jungkook said something about his height again.

The two were going back and forth about something and Jimin was shoving his phone into Jungkook's face. The next moment, Jungkook had Jimin's phone in his hand and waving it up. Jimin was pissed as he couldn't reach it.

It was for a brief moment but Taehyung definitely saw it. When Jimin pulled on Jungkook's baggy t-shirt it rode down exposing his left collarbone and shoulder.

There Taehyung saw the old scar.

It was big and covered a huge part of Jungkook's shoulder but it was concealed underneath his clothes. It couldn't be seen unless the raven wore a tank top.

The blond decided to not comment on it since Jungkook hadn't noticed. He didn't want to ruin the atmosphere. Life was already throwing curve balls at them and Taehyung didn't dare ruin the small moments of peace they had.

The boys finished their lunch and got dressed before they had to leave for work. They still walked inside the agency building, even though none of them were mentally prepared for what they were about to face.

Life was going to throw them another curve ball.
