Save Me From Myself ( A Taegyu ff )

INTRO : We always walk alone

Present time - 9:38 pm ...

A pregnant silence hung around them , a silence so still that Beomgyu could hear his heartbeat echoing inside the dimly lit dining room   . He stared deadly at his almost full bowl of rice and kimchi on his plate , now cold .  His stomach churned unpleasantly in protest , he had no appetite today , everyday . Beomgyu tightened his grip on his thighs where his clammy hands laid  trembling above his lap , he raised his head and gazed at his dad who was seated across from him  reading a newspaper .  

"Appa ..."

Beomgyu's sank his fingernails  deeper into the flesh of his thighs when his father glanced back at him . He flicked his eyebrow questioningly when Beomgyu did n't utter a single word . When the silence stretched way too longer , his father cleared his throat sharply which was a clear sigh that his patience was withering away . Beomgyu swallowed down the bile rising up his throat and forced himself to take a stuttering breath and speak , 

" I..I want to drop out from sch..school . I....I  don't want to go there anymore ... "

Beomgyu snapped his eyes close and gasped for breath that came in short and heavy spells . He could feel his father's gaze burning upon him . He can't take it , he can't take this anymore , Beomgyu felt like throwing up . 

" Why ...?" This  was all his father mumbled , Daegu accent thick on his tongue . Hi voice was low and contemplating  . 

Beomgyu stared at his dad through his bloodshot eyes , his pale face glistening with sweat under the amber glow of the ceiling lamp . "Why" his father had asked . He had reasons , big reasons and those reasons were tormenting and torturing him each day and he can't carry their burden anylonger  . He was exhausted , exhausted to death .

. He had ugly nightmares and cried himself to sleep every night . He could not eat , he could not sleep , could not breathe . But at this moment no words escaped Beomgyu's chapped lips , no words at all . He remained silent listening to his thundering heart .

The newspaper slipped from between his father's fingers when he folded his arms and stared deeply at his only son and mumbled , " See Gyu ....I know its tough for you . First your parents separated and now you have to adjust to a whole new environment but it is how it is . You have to learn to deal with your problems on your own . I will not be there for you always . Don't whine like a child for petty things , you are a man now . Grow up ... "  

Beomgyu felt his body going cold slowly as his vision blurred from the unshed tears clouding his eyes . He did n't even get a chance of explaining himself . It seems like he had to keep his concerns buried inside him , like he always does . It was like he was stuck in a dark tunnel  , a tunnel with no end ,and he was inside it all alone running for his life . 

At last his father gave a final remark , "If some minor problems arise at school just ignore it ...ignore them . "

A single tear slid down Beomgyu's hollowed cheeks  , he has been ignoring them all along these  past months ...it didn't work .
