8 : The Night When The Sky Burned

Trigger warnings ahead : Thin shaming and harassment !!  

" Run run !! five more laps to go , Don't slow down . " Their physical education teacher barked out and sharply blew the whistle dangling upon his chest . Beomgyu wheezed loudly as he forced himself to move faster but he could not drag his sore legs anymore , his muscles were burning like they were  smoldering on fire . His body gave up before he can . 

Beomgyu knees buckled causing him to stumble down and he collapsed on the floor .  His heart was pounding ferociously as if it would tear out from his chest itself and long puffs of air escaped through his parted lips . He felt too hot , his body was slicked with sweat and dirt . Beomgyu exhaled a stuttering breath and drifted his eyes close , his long lashes falling upon his damp cheeks . 

He didn't realised how long he stayed like that listening to his own heartbeat slowing eventually but he jolted awake then , his eyelids snapping open when somebody thundered in through the doors, his footsteps echoing inside the games hall as silence drifted in the room . With a dizzy head , Beomgyu pushed himself to his feet and flickered his eyes to the intruder who just barged in . 

Taehyun stood there clad in knee length shorts and a basketball jersey that bared his muscular arms revealing his beautiful tattoos in their full glory . His blonde hair were tousled back messily and he brushed his fingers through them  . It's almost been a month since he last saw Taehyun , he was still the same but Beomgyu couldn't take his eyes off him .

 The raven haired froze on his place when Taehyun marched towards him , he stared unblinkingly at the blonde who passed from beside him barely sparing Beomgyu even a glance behaving as though he was invisible . Beomgyu thought it shouldn't hurt him as it did .  

The blonde ambled towards their P.E teacher whose eyes popped open on seeing him and a scowl settled on his face . He folded his arms over his chest and glared down at Taehyun sharply and scoffed" Mr Kang so you finally remembered you have a Fitness Test today . Bad luck though , the test is already over .   

" It's not , there are fifteen minutes remaining for the period to end sir . " Taehyun retorted calmly remaining unfazed when the teacher shot him an angry look . 

He gritted his teeth and marched closer to Taehyun while pointing an accusatory finger at the blonde as he hissed , " You ....  get down to the floor . You were pretty eager to give the test weren't you . Do hundred push ups now and no breaks in between . "

Taehyun complied to his order and squatted down on the floor as he got in the desired position . He drew in a long breath before he started doing push ups , his movements were swift , effortless and practiced like he had been doing this all his life . The other boys made whooo and wow sounds in admiration as they watched Taehyun whereas their teacher's jaw literally dropped to the floor . 

" Yo.. you think this is very easy ? Do 20 laps more when you are done with this and ...why are you fools howling like wild wolves . Get out now and change your smelly clothes . " The teacher stuttered out as all the boys rushed out of the hall instantly . He glared madly at a few girls who were still lingering behind , " Do I have to give you a special notice . Leave now !! "Those girls  raced away even before the teacher was done shouting .

Beomgyu paused , his feet halting just before  crossing the threshold leading to the Boys' Changing Room . It was already packed with many boys rambling around , their husky and deep voices reverberating inside as they threw their sweat soaked shirts shirts away and shimmied into cleaner ones .  

The raven haired stumbled behind and stood by the entrance till the room became less crowded as they students shuffled outside with their backpack slinging from their shoulders as they marched towards the exit of the school . Beomgyu ambled inside when only a few of them were still lingering behind , and walked in the corner where his locker was situated .
