7 : Hell Is Another People

Beomgyu stood unmoving outside his closed classroom door , his eyes were filled with emptiness and his actions were hesitant when he dragged the door open . He fluttered his eyes shut and gulped a puff of air before scrambling in while keeping his eyes fixated on the floor . As he marched towards his seat , he found himself secretly stealing a glimpse behind to catch a glance of Taehyun which he never did because the latter wasn't there today . 

He sucked his lower lip and nibbled gently on his lip as he gazed at Taehyun's deserted seat , a part of him was relieved , even happy to discover that the blonde was absent but the other part was suffering from an inner turmoil .  Being distracted from all the conflicting thoughts swirling inside his head , Beomgyu lost his attention and accidentally tripped over something . He stumbled , losing his balance and crashed to the floor . A wave of laughter followed after that and later did Beomgyu realise that it wasn't a mere accident . 

Jaesun was hovering over him with a smug look plastered over his face and he leaned down to regard Beomgyu closely . " Are you blind or what , can't you even walk properly ?  Look , you could have hurt yourself , let me check . " He muttered and did a terrible job of faking his concern .  He roughly pulled Beomgyu upright  and slammed him against his desk . Beomgyu hissed in pain and  the backpack slung around his shoulder fell on the ground  . 

One of Jaesun's pet dog , Dohae snatched it from the floor and gasped in an exaggerated manner while shaking the bag as he exclaimed , " ohh this is fucking heavy , what have you loaded inside it hmm ? " An evil smirk sneaked to Dohae's lips just before he flicked the zipper open and emptied all the contents of his bag on the floor . 

Beomgyu sucked in a sharp breath before reaching out to pick his stuff but Jaesun grabbed his arm , his long fingers curling around his frail bicep . On the other hand , Dohae eyed all the papers sprawled across the floor curiously and his eyes glinted in surprise as he gathered all those pages in his hands and remarked , " Aren't these the notes from our Physics class ? I didn't understood a single thing from that boring lecture but these notes can surely help . "

Dohae spared a glance at Beomgyu who was struggling in Jaesun's grasp before he began shuffling through those papers and said , " I am taking these , afterall you are smart enough to make new ones for yourself , aren't you ? "

" No you can't . Those are mine . " The response that rolled out from his tongue surprised Beomgyu himself . Maybe the pent up frustration he had within him after the argument with Taehyun yesterday was taking a toll on his body.  

Dohae paused rambling through those pages , an astounded look plastered on his face after hearing Beomgyu's response who flinched when the former glanced sharply at him . Nonetheless , Beomgyu didn't let his eyes waver from Dohae's when he approached him with long , swift strides . He glared down upon him and mumbled hoarsely , " What did you ..."

" I said exactly what you heard . "  Beomgyu whispered sternly , his voice seemed unfamiliar to his own ears . He felt Jaesun's fingers tightening around his arm .

Dohae eyes popped open wide in bewilderment as he bared his teeth and advanced forward with his fist raised in the air . Beomgyu squinted his eyes and scooted behind preparing himseld to take the blow but it never came . Dohae's friends were holding him back , their arms wrapped tightly around his torso as they pulled him away . 

Jaesun flickered his eyes to Beomgyu for a few seconds , his lips turned down into an annoyed scowl before throwing him away like a rag doll . Beomgyu hissed out in pain  as he clutched his bruised arm and stared back at his tormentors . They all were calming down a fuming Dohae while shooting occasional glances at Beomgyu , Jaesun marched  towards them and patted Dohae's  shoulder lightly  before muttering , " Not here ..."
