"You're the last Horcrux." She states as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
"I'm sorry, what?" I ask completely confused.
"There are seven Horcrux's. . .well eight if you include yourself. The goblet, a necklace, a book, tiara, a ring, Harry, Nagini, and you. But you and Harry share one crux. If you're still alive Harry can't die. His life is tied to yours."
She slowly spins the Pendalin in the middle of the golden sphere.
"How can his life be tied to mine? He has nothing to do with me, I've barely even talked to the poor boy." I take a wary step towards her.
"Your father, that's what." She slams the necklace on the pedestal next to her. "His precious Lily. When he found out she would die at the hands of Tom Riddle, he bonded you to him right away. In reality, you were supposed to die if Lily did saving her life. But he did the spell wrong."
"Then why am I still alive?"
"Because Harry survived. Lily saved Harry when she died which resulted in my "death". When Tom found this out he sent Bellatrix to kill me. Which is why I was dead before you went back and saved me. Thank you for that by the way." She smiles at me before drawing your wand. "Now give me your arm."
"No."
She lunges towards me gripping my arm in hers. "You will swear to fulfill your end of the deal. Submit your loyalty to the dark lord?"
I didn't want to but I had no choice. I needed to protect Draco.
"Yes, and in return, you do not kill me, but if I see something is fit in timing my loyalty to him will not sway my choices."
"Done." She smirks. The golden wisps around our arms disappear as she releases her hold on me. "Now go help Draco."
~
"Don't you understand? I have to do this. I have to kill you, or he's gonna kill me." Draco's broken voice echos through the Astronomy tower.
"You are no assasin Draco."
"How do you know what I am?" Draco cries.
"Draco, don't do it. We can find another way." I shout as I climb the final step to the tower.
He looks at me. Broken, torn between the good and evil inside him.
"There's another way. We can run. We can leave now. Hide until this is over." I try to reason with his conscience. "I know this isn't something you want to do."
"I can't." He cries. "He'll kill you."
For a small moment. The smallest second I saw something flicker in his eyes. The old Draco. My Draco. The one I fell in love with. The boy who stole my heart second year when he wanted to protect me from the Baskalisk.
"I'm right here. He can't get to me if he never finds me. Draco, let's go, please." I whisper.
Cackling from behind me causes us to break our gaze.
"Ah, Aurora, lovely to see you here." Bella smiles her rotten teeth peeking through her chapped lips.
"Bella." I nod.
The rest of the Death Eaters appear behind her. Frenir grabs me pulling us towards the edge of the tower.
"Your mother informed me of your deal, don't even think about it." He seeths.
I gulp down the pit forming in my throat.
Of course, she'd open her big mouth about the deal. Ensure there's no chance of finding a loophole.
