"What do you think she was doing?" Hermione asked me.
"I don't know. She just whispered something and walked through a portrait. But she seemed like she wanted to make sure no one saw her there, like she appeared out of thin air. I would have heard her footsteps." I say leaving out why I wasn't in the dorm last night.
I don't even want to think about Draco and what a prick he's being. He was fine at the manor. But maybe now that I'm a Death Eater and have this treacherous mark he seems me as everything he hates and doesn't want to be.
"I wouldn't ask her about it. Your mom is a scary lady. I'm surprised she wasn't a Slytherin." Ron turns around to face us.
"She's not that terrifying." I rub my hands together.
Other than the fact she's a death eater and could kill you in your sleep if she wanted.
"Why don't you snoop through her room. You have access to it." Harry suggests.
"How would I get to their quarters without being caught?" I ask sarcastically.
"You could borrow my invisibility cloak." He answers.
"Thanks Ha-" I go to thank him but get cut off.
"Quiet you insolent children." Dad says rushing into the room. Robes swaying behind him. "Open your text books to page two hundred and eighty-eight." He crosses his arms glaring at his students.
The only sounds in the room are the flipping of pages and muffled mumbling of students. DADA used to be fun. Throwing spells at Boggarts, learning magical curses, dueling, well until Umbitch showed up and changed the curriculum. Now we read textbooks and have tests. It's been years since I've thrown a hex at Pansy or Daphne to turn their hair pink.
I was surprised when the chapter read 'dark dueling against unforgivable curses', how ironic.
Thanks dad.
"Unforgivable curses are not to be messed with." He looks over at me. I slouch down into my seat wanting the floor to open up and swallow me whole. "Recently it has been brought to my attention students have been throwing them at each other. As a teacher against these arts, I see it fit to teach you how to properly defend yourselves without harming other by sending hexes at other classmates." He glares at me. "I have my daughter to help me." He motions towards the office door which Serenity sashays out of sending a wink at Draco before hopping down the steps.
"Hi daddy." She greets my father before flicking her eyes at Draco.
I'm going to puke. I might actually throw up. She's calling him daddy? I can feel myself turn green.
"If I'm imagining this hit me over the head with your book. Why is she here?" I mumble wiping a hand down my face.
"Serenity will help demonstrate the proper dueling of these curses alongside her sister." He glares at me to stand up and join them in the front.
I stand from my chair smoothing down my skirt, joining them. Hermione mumbles a quick 'sorry' before I leave my desk. Harry and Ron give me pitiful smiles.
*Narrators POV*
The front of the room was fairly open. leaving enough room for a weak duel.
"Now don't mean the curse you throw. This is for show not to torture each other." He eyes the two girls as they glare at each other, challenging one another to try something. "Begin."
"Densaugeo." Serenity casts. Aurora throw up a protection spell. "Tillitando." She casts another hex.
"Alarte Ascendare." Aurora casts shooting Serenity into the air.
