Aurora walked out the room, making her way back to the main hall. She heard voices talking, she realized she made her decision. The meetings over. Her mother is either dead or alive and people are walking towards her right now. She ducks into the nearest room closing the door gently pressing her ear against it to hear what they're saying.
"Severus, you should stay here tonight. It might not be safe to take Aurora and Celeste home tonight." Narcissa states.
Damn it! Aurora thought. Her younger self didn't listen to her warnings and now nothing is going to change.
"Your house is crawling with death eaters. I don't think Celeste is safe here."
"Then leave Aurora and get her tomorrow. I'll charm her room. No one can get in or out less I'm there."
"Fine but please keep her safe. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my only daughter." Celeste cries before her and Snape floo home.
Narcissa and Lucius converse before walking down the hall. When she can't hear them anymore, she goes to open the door, but a soft but arrogant voice.
"Who are you?"
Aurora turns around to see a small boy with bright blonde hair in emerald green pajamas.
"I'm. . .Nova." She answers using her middle name.
"Are you one of them?" His bright blue eyes struck with fear.
She realizes that at this time Draco is only four maybe five years old. He isn't the arrogant, stuck up, spoiled brat he becomes in ten years. He's still sweet innocent little Draco.
"I am." She answers clasping her hands together staring down at the floor.
"Are you here to hurt me?" Her head shoots up.
"What? No. Here sit down." She sits on his bed patting the space next to her. He warily sits down next to her. "I go to a school called Hogwarts. I'm in Gryffindor. I'm in my sixth year and I'm a Death Eater." She stares down at the little boy, "This is the part where you tell me who you are."
"Oh, I'm Draco, I'm five years old, I like green apples, cookies, piano, hanging out with my mother and I hope when I go to Hogwarts, I get Slytherin."
"And why is that?"
"My father said if I get any other house, he'd disown me." He looks at his lap with a sad expression.
"Well, your father is a cruel man and doesn't deserve a sweet loving little boy such as yourself." She smiles at the young boy sitting before her.
"Why did you come in my room?"
"You ask a lot of questions." She mumbles. "I came to ask you a favor."
He sits up at her words. "A favor?"
"Yes, a favor, more like a promise I want you to keep for me." The boy nods his head quickly turning to face her sitting on his knees. "You know your friend Aurora?" His cheeks turn pink. "No matter what happens, no matter what house she gets put into, promise you'll always be her friend and keep it. She'll need you when you're older trust me."
"That won't happen. She'll be a Slytherin. Just like me. We'll be together all the time and have classes and..." He smiles.
"Does someone have a crush?" Aurora giggles.
"No." He answers, cheeks coating pink.
"Well, crush or not, no matter what, be there for her, forever. No matter what happens. Different houses and all." Aurora smiles at the boy before her, "Promise?" She holds out her pinkie.
