Sixth year at Hogwarts. Only one left. Then I can finally say goodbye, leave that dreaded school and finally start my life.

I rush to finish packing my trunk, the anticipation and excitement of the upcoming year coursing through me. My father's incessant yelling fuels my eagerness to leave home once again and embark on this new school year.

"Aurora, let's go. Now." My father says slowly standing in the doorway.

I turn to him, "Why do I even need to pack? I can just use the fireplace in your office to get what I need."

"You will not be allowed to Floo your way home this year. It's time to be responsible. You won't be able to floo home when you get out in the world."

I let out a huff and close my trunk, "You're right," I smile, "I can apparate home."

Father rolls his eyes and begins walking down the hall.

I do one last quick sweep of the room. I grab the last pair of shoes on the top shelf of the closet. A small blue box got knocked and fell onto the wooden floor. I pick it up curiously opening the small lid. A gold chain fills the box with a gold-plated hourglass medallion placed in the center.

I never had one of these before. The mudblood Granger had one of these third year and got herself almost a year ahead of everybody. I place the necklace around my neck knowing I might need to use it at some point.

"Aurora!" My father shouts a final time.

I walk to my bed and pull the trunk to the floor. I make my way down the hall to the steps where my father is standing. He uses magic to make the trunk float, "No scratching the floor, please."

"Yes, dad." I laugh making my way down the steps.

He eyes the necklace around my neck as I  grab his arm ready to apparate at the train platform.

Once he drops me off, almost immediately apparates himself away without a goodbye.

The sound of students saying goodbye to their parents and siblings engulfs my ears as I make my way through the crowd.

I drop my things off to be loaded onto the train and turn to look for that familiar head of platinum blonde hair.

I spot him on the other end of the platform with Blaise, Vincent, Gregory, and Pugface. He has his usual scowl on but this year it seems to have grown.

"Hello boys." I greet. Vincent, Blaise, and Gregory are quick to say hello. While Draco pulls me into his embrace not saying anything.

"Aurora didn't think you'd be coming on the train this year," Pugface says sweetly

"Someone needs to keep your grubby hands off my boyfriend, Pugf-Pansy." I smile back at her.

Draco just continues with his usual scowl and says nothing. Not even a slight laugh.

What's his problem?

The horn on the train blows signaling us to get on. Draco aggressively grabs my hand pulling me to the compartment.

He doesn't say anything as we sit down. Pansy and Blaise are across from us, while Vincent and Gregory get stuck sitting in the booth next to us. I'd much rather have them across from me than have Pugface drooling over Draco for the entirety of the trip.

The ride is silent except for a few comments from Pansy towards Draco, which he completely ignores. He's not even paying to anything he's just zoned out. The lines on his forehead are deep. I nudge his arm snapping him out of whatever trance he's in. He shoots me a scowl. I shoot one back at him.
