On a fateful Wednesday night in New York City, a member of the rich and famous Jeon family is brutally murdered. Exactly a week later, another family member meets the same fate. Despite still being new to the homicide unit, Detective Chantelle Taylor takes on the case and she thinks she has everything under control.

That is until Detective Taehyung Kim, also known as V, is hired by the Jeon family to investigate the mysterious murders. And although they are complete opposites, Chantelle and Taehyung must work together to find the killer before it is too late.

Will they be able to solve a case full of countless twists and turns? And along the way, will they be able to risk the temptation of mixing business with pleasure?

_______

This plot for this book is not mine, it came from the lovely Nam_Noms who allowed me to write this. Big thank you to her!

This book is also inspired by the countless true crime shows I have watched over the years (I may have a bit of an obsession). But as always, I did my research on these topics as well. So if anything in here is inaccurate, feel free to correct me!

If you want a detailed and complex storyline, this book is for you. Taehyung himself doesn't appear until a few chapters in because I wanted to take my time setting the stage for everything. The wait will be worth it though, trust me!

This book will contain mature themes, some of which might be triggering. These include:

• sexual content
• graphic depictions of death, lots of blood and gore basically
• brief mentions of child abuse/neglect
mentions of rape (more towards second half of the book)

Also yes, this is an AMBW but race is barely mentioned in the book because it's NYC and it's just a melting pot of different cultures so no one really cares. If you're not black, you can still read but just keep this in mind!

Without further ado, I hope you enjoy the book!
