"I fucked up, didn't I.." Chantelle groans as she gets back into her car, just having purchased a fresh cup of coffee from Joe's.

She leans back into her seat, closing her eyes for a moment. The image of an angry Seokjin storming out of her apartment plays over and over again. She understands that he was annoyed about work interrupting their night together, which all leads back to Taehyung. But this case is important to her. It's not her fault that important information arrived when it did.

With a heavy sigh, Chantelle pulls out her phone. Then she starts texting.

Jin

i know you're upset and i'm sorry.
maybe we can hang out later?
i'll be off of work by 5

After sending the messages, she takes her pain meds for the morning and washes them down with a long sip of coffee. Her shoulder has been acting up a bit lately, she hopes she doesn't need to go back to therapy.

Chantelle's eyes nearly bulge out of her head when she sees the time displayed on the dashboard. She needs to get going if she wants to be on time. There are some very important developments to be made in her case and she can't afford to miss them.

"There you are, I was just about to call you!" Taehyung runs a hand through his blond locks as he makes his way over. "The film crew should be arriving any minute now."

Chantelle nods, feeling more awkward than usual in Taehyung's presence. After last night, it's difficult to look both him and Jin in the eye.

She needs to sort out her feelings before someone gets hurt but these days, she doesn't even have the time.

The detective sighs internally, her eyes roaming the expansive college campus. She has parked right where everyone agreed to meet, next to the football field. There's a patch of woods behind it and Chantelle has a feeling that what they're looking for might be somewhere in there.

She grins at the crowd of people that has already started to form at their meeting spot. It's a mix of volunteers, family and friends, and officers with search dogs who came together for one purpose: to find Imani Ashford's cell phone.

"Hello everyone, thank you for coming!" Chantelle calls out as she approaches the group. "As we all know, we are here to get justice for Imani Ashford and her daughter Brooklyn. The goal for today, and perhaps the next few days, is to search these woods for Imani's cellphone and any other items that may lead us to their killer. We will get started momentarily, we're just waiting on a couple more people to arrive."
