A/N: TW; Mention of clowns. I know some people are deathly afraid of clowns and although it doesn't go into detail, just be careful! Requested by @HeatherBreece. I hope this is close to what you wanted❤️ Just for reference in my small town circuses and carnivals are inherently the same thing so sorry if they are actually vastly different from each other- as I use both words to describe it. Apologies if the preforming acts are subpar, I just googled circus acts and used some from there😂😂.

The shrill knocking on the mangaka's front door ripped him from the pages that sprawled out across his desk. He wandered for a moment, who could be knocking? And then he cursed under his breath, realizing he had blasted plans with the annoying high schoolers that plagued his life. All jokes aside, no matter how much he claimed they annoyed him and that he disliked them, he did in fact enjoy their company.
He sighed, looking down at his work, setting his black pen down as he would just have to finish later. The lanky man sauntered out of his office and down the grand staircase to his large front door. Unbolting the lock, he grasped the handle and pulled it open, being met face to face with the three stooges.
They all had excited looks on their faces, and the mangaka scowered his brain for reasons they may have been so...exhilarated. Since he had forgotten they had even had plans today, his brain lacked the details of what those plans entailed.
"Hi Rohan-sensei!," Koichi greeted, and the other two boys nodded politely. "How has your morning been?."
"Fine, thanks," Rohan snorted, leaning through the doorway slightly to the porch. "Remind me, what exactly are we doing today?."
The faces of the three boys looking up at their peer, dropped. "You forgot? Again?!." Okuyasu grumbled, and Josuke sighed in agreement. Koichi scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably.
"Yeah, Rohan, tell me why you always seem to forget our plans." Josuke prodded, to which Kishibe 'tch'ed at.
"I'm a busy man! You see, I have a job, unlike you."
Josuke gritted his teeth and Okuyasu tried his best to choke back a laugh. Koichi shook his head, brows furrowed. "Never mind that," he started.
"We're going to the circus today, Rohan-sensei! It's going to be so much fun."
"That sounds...interesting," Rohan fibbed through his teeth. A circus? That was for babies! A man like Rohan Kishibe, of his social status, went to art galleries and formal parties- and he was really expected to enjoy a circus? Although with these guys, sometimes even the most boring things he found himself enjoying. He contemplated coming up with an excuse to get out of going, momentarily, but alas he sighed. What's the worst that could happen?
"Let me grab my wallet and keys, and we can be on our way, then."

The drive to the circus was a tad lengthily, as it was settled in on the edge of town, but there were no complaints as it had gone relatively smoothly with only a few shenanigans burdening them along the way. Nothing unmanageable. Rohan parked as close as humanly possible toward the entrance of the circus, but that seemed to prove difficult as a good amount of people from town had also had the same idea.
As soon as the engine rolled over everyone piled out of the car.
"Man, I hope the tickets aren't sold out!." Koichi but his lip nervously, to which Okuyasu nodded in agreement with slight anxiety. "I didn't expect this many people to be here!." Josuke commented.
Rohan brushed them off. "We'll just have to go find out."
The group set off to the ticket stand at the front of the main, large tent. A few other concessions stands scattered around the outside of the tent for things like popcorn, sodas and flavored shaved ice.
