I'm not so proud of this one but hey, I put time into it so 🤷♀️ why not publish it? I hope one of you like it, at least.

Your stomach grumbled vigorously as you shoveled your books your book bag, fastening the flap shut. It was currently 1:30 in the afternoon, and you hadn't eaten breakfast that morning, so needless to say, you were borderline starving. You fumbled down the long, outstretched hall, and down two flights of stairs, making a sharp left out of the main room to grab a bento from the vending machines in the rest area.
Students sat about, chattering, minding their business, as did you. You wandered over to the snack machines and interestingly peered inside, mouth watering at the site of all the delicious food. There were so many good choices! You had much to think about.
Ultimately you purchased a bento box consisting of a decently sized Tamagoyaki, a sweet flavored rolled omelette, with four Onigiri rice balls! You also chose a small bottled water from the drink machine to accompany it. You collected your lunch and turned on your heels, eyes drifting to find a location you could sit.
It was a tad busy outside, if you couldn't find a spot you'd just see how it was inside. You continued looking, and you probably looked stupid doing so- but alas you found somewhere, with somebody familiar, too!
He sat alone, dark hair disheveled with that same hat he always wore on his head, signature eyebags, and a grimace constantly placed on his face. Jotaro was his name, although you weren't sure of his last. He was in your Ichthyology class, and you had been partnered up with him as a study-buddy a few times. He was quiet and reserved, kept to himself but boy when you were alone with him did he have a loud mouth, cursing like a sailor. Although a tad mean and snarky, Jotaro was a good guy. You knew it, deep down he was a softie. Most "tough guys" are anyway.
You noticed he didn't have lunch, sitting by his lonesome sipping on his gray thermal-mug filled with straight black coffee that he usually refilled several times throughout the day. So you did him a courtesy, and also bought him a bento box too. You hoped he liked omelette.
You approached with two bento's in hand, and sat at his table. "I noticed you didn't have any lunch so i brought you some! I hope its okay if i sit with you, too." You slid his lunch across the table toward him.
"Okay." He mumbled, doing little to nothing to acknowledge your existence other than blinking. His eyes still bore off into the same spot it had before, and he still sipped from his mug, not putting it down for even a moment.
"Alright," You said with a smile. "Do enjoy your bento."
He only nodded.
You internally shrugged, opening your lunch, you began eating. As you had gotten halfway done, Jotaro turned his attention toward you, finally, sitting his coffee on the table. "What is it?." He asked, motioning toward the bento. "Tamagoyaki and Onigiri- I don't know what you like so i just got you what im having."
"That's fine," He then opened the box and poked at the omelette, before cutting it and taking a bite.
You both ate in silence for a while, no talking- nothing. But it was nice, peaceful, you realized why Jotaro always quiet. It was relaxing in some odd way.
You encouraged small conversation, and he engaged, not very excitedly, keep in mind.
As you finished off your bento, you noticed Jotaro rummage around in the pocket of his over-coat. For his phone, probably, you figured- until you heard the flick of a lighter.
"Oi!." You interrupted, grabbing his attention. "What?," he mumbled. "You're allowed to smoke outside."
"That's not what I meant!," you flicked the cigarette from his lips, and he didnt even flinch. "Smoking is bad for you, idiot!."
"I dont care?." His sentence dripped of sarcasm, and you rolled your eyes heavily. "Dont you dare light one of those, Jotaro."
A condescending smirk, which contrasted heavily to his usual stoic appearance, graced his features. He pulled out another cancer-stick with his forefinger and thumb, and placed it between his lips. "Watch me." He spoke from the side of his mouth, igniting the lighter and setting the smoke ablaze.
You furrowed your brows and squinted at him, swooshing the smoke around with your hand and feigning a sickly cough.
"Yare yare, give me a break," he took a few more puffs and pressed the butt against the table, smothering the flame. "You're annoying, (Y/n)."
"I try my best." You grinned. He shook his head in half-amusement half-dissapointment. "So, we have an exam Monday," Jotaro started, clearing his throat. He hesitated to finish. "You mind studying this weekend? If you're busy it's whatever."
"Nah, im not busy- not much of a partier or anything, so, this weekend works."
He nodded. "Alright."
"Alright," you glanced down at the watch on your wrist, curious of the time. "Ah, shit, I gotta get going, my next class is coming up." You stood on your feet and began gathering all the trash from lunch, but his hand swatted you away. "Dont worry about it, dumbass, I got it. Get out of here."
"Ah, thank you, Jotaro. See you later!." You made sure you had everything in your bag before you left, incase anything had fallen out. You gave a wave to him, and turned around, beginning to walk toward the entrance of the main building.
"Oi, (Y/n)," You heard Jotaro speak from behind you, at the table. You cocked your head and looked over your shoulder, an eyebrow raised in inquirement. "Thanks for the lunch, I guess."
"Of course, Jotaro."
