A/N:
Something short and cute because I've been wayyyy too stressed lately to even THINK of updating...based on the song by Bruno Mars!

The sky was a beautiful baby-blue, white puffed clouds dancing in the sky, making all different shapes and sizes. It was warm out, today, but not too warm. It was the perfect day to be outside, and that's exactly where Jonathan Joestar was!
He licked his thumb and index finger gingerly, flipping the pale and withered pages of the current book he was reading. A book you had given him as a gift, on the anniversary of the day you both had became friends! It was your favorite book, this he already knew; and he had his nose shoved in it since the day he recieved it.
Speaking of you, you sat beside him, eyes glued to the aforementioned sky. When he took small glances over at you, your plush lips were parted and your lashes batted. You looked deep in thought, and, he didn't want to disturb you, so he kept to himself and just read in silence. Although he wondered to himself, just what you were thinking about. You had been awful quiet today.
Some time had passed and the clouds had moved on in the sky. He noticed movement beside him. You had removed your eyes from up above and stared at your lap, sullen. You fiddled with your thumbs until a small, sheepish voice cracked from your lips.
"JoJo, do I look fat?."
The navy-blue, messy haired boy had been caught off guard by the words of the beautiful girl who sat next to him.
He ripped his focused gaze off of the book in his lap, and squinted his eyes harshly at you, in confusion.
"What? No! Why would you ask that?!."
"I just feel like it!," You huffed, frustrated, and flung yourself backward, arms spread wide as you laid back against the red-and-black checkered picnic blanket. "I've been feeling so ugly lately! My mom keeps insisting I go on a diet, and she keeps buying me all these cosmetic products to cake my face with! She tells me,
'(Y/n), if you ever want to meet a handsome, kind man, you have to look better!'."
"Oh, don't listen to her! Your mother obviously doesn't know what she's talking about!."
"Try telling her that...," You chewed your lip. "I don't know why I'd ask you anyway! You're my bestfriend, you have to be nice to me."
"That's not true!," The boy defended. "I don't...have to be. You just aren't fat, or ugly!."
"So, you're telling me, Jonathan Joestar, that if I really was fat and ugly, you'd tell me to my face?." You cocked a brow and looked over at him.
"Er...well-."
"Exactly! You don't have a mean bone in your body, Jojo! Hmph...I'd probably be better off asking that rakefire Dio!."
"Oh gosh, don't ask Dio...he'd lie to you just to make you feel worse," Jonathan rolled his eyes. "I can be mean sometimes, believe me! I just simply, prefer not to...."
"Mhm, sure, you're too amiable. I don't believe it!~." You teased.
His ears went red with vexation. "I-I-," He stumbled over his words til he re-composed himself. "Fine, would you like to know what I really think?."
Your eyes widened in surprise, as you weren't expecting him to say that. You swallowed nervously and nodded your head. "Yes...?."
"(Y/n), I think," He paused, drawing out suspension.
"You are the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on, and no girl in all of London can ever change my mind! Your hair is so soft and it always smells like pastries, and your eyes are so big and bright it makes you look like a little curious kitten! You are not fat and aren't ugly! Your mother should be told off for even thinking of saying those things to you! Even if you were fat and ugly; if you ever meet a handsome, nice man he should love you for you, not how you look! If he cared about how you look more than your personality, well, he wouldn't be such a very nice man, would he?! I think you're perfect just the way you are!."
The corners of your mouth etched up into a small smile and a tomato-red blush crept across your face.
"Oh, Jojo...," You sat upright to his level, and placed a hand on his shoulder. His eyebrows raised.
"Is it stupid to think you're the handsome and nice man my mother was telling me about?."
"N-No, it's not stupid at all-."
You brushed your lips against his gently before he could even finish his sentence. A shocked noise came from him but he didn't resist; no, he wouldn't even dare pull away.
"Thank you so much, Jojo," You pulled away and shoved your still, blushed face, into the crook of his neck. "I feel like the prettiest girl in the world."
"It's because you ARE the prettiest girl in the world!."
