A/N:
Inspired from the song by Adele! I thought this was cute for Rohan :). Kind of angsty but I know I don't execute that style very well.--
You checked yourself out in the rear-view mirror, before you stepped out of your little car, for one last time. You had your hair pulled into a tight, upkept bun with some hairs framing your face, and your favorite lipgloss tinted across your lips. You wore a pretty off-the-shoulder jumper in your favorite color, some sandal wedges and a pretty bracelet to compliment your outfit, and of course, your handy purse.
You open the car and exited, slamming it tightly and pressing the lock-button on your key set. You eyed up the building at the front of the parking lot, vivaciously. It was large, a bit over the top for an engagement party, you thought- But anything for Yukako.
You approached the grand-entrance, a large white-marble esque door with thick pillars holding up a shade-roof. You turned the knob of the heavy entryway and pushed it open. Met with a corridor, you padded your feet down it. You could hear upbeat pop music and commotion coming from the room at the end of the hall, once again met with a large doorway. You took a deep breath. You hadn't been to a party in years.
Here goes nothing.
You budged the door open and stepped into the buoyant room. You were met with so many familiar faces, you didn't know where to start. Almost everyone in Morioh was there.
"Oh, (Y/n)! Hey, (Y/n)!." A voice called out from the crowd, and you darted your gaze toward the direction. A man with a small slick pompadour, and another with a large one, approached you. You immediately knew who they were.
Okuyasu Nijimura and Josuke Higashikata.
"Hey! It's been so long!." Josuke smiled and englufed you into a hug, which you reciprocated, and Okuyasu gave a gruff pat on the back, bro-style. "Hey! I missed you guys!."
"Hows life been, since you left?." Josuke asked. A pang of sadness shown in his voice. "Oh, its been...normal," You shrugged. "So, where's the happy couple?." You brushed over the topic.
Although you knew questions were to be asked, because this was indeed a reunion of sorts, your heart grew heavy everytime you had to talk about leaving. It always reminded you of why you left Morioh in the first place.
"They're over there, let's go say hi!." Okuyasu exclaimed, grabbing you by the arm. The two boys essentially dragged you over toward the U-shaped designer Sofa where Yukako, Koichi, and a few other people sat.
"(Y/n)!," Yukako's face lit up, and she immediately stood to greet you. She gave you a tight hug. "I didn't think you would make it."
"Why wouldn't I?," You smiled. "My two best friends are engaged! And I get to visit everyone else too! Of course I'd come."
"You're just so busy," Koichi added, with a pleasant grin. "We didn't want to get our hopes up, is all."
You made a 'pfttt' noise. "Don't ever worry about me being busy. Even though I don't live here anymore, you guys are still apart of my life- I'll be here anytime you guys need me, that goes for all of you."
"Alrighttt, enough of the mushy-gushy," Okuyasu fake gagged. "We're here to celebrate! Have a drink!." He picked up a small shot-glass from the tray centering the table and handed it to you. "Drink up, (Y/n)!." Josuke snickered. You rolled your eyes and downed the shot, and they both hoot and hollered.
Time went on. Yukako and Koichi got up to dance, and Josuke and Okuyasu were doing their own thing- you stayed, sitting on the couch, watching everyone, watching the crowd.
