totally not an excuse to write mini-stories about my boys <3 also this is pretty long lmao

Something strange has been happening in the UA dorms; something Izuku just can't quite place.

It all began a month ago after Todoroki and Bakugou got their provisional hero licenses. They appeared to be competing a lot harder than usual, but it wasn't over the usual I'm more powerful than you controversy. No, they were competing over something else.

Being the observant, inquisitive little broccoli he is, Izuku just needed to know why his best friend and Kacchan were acting so peculiar towards him specifically. Luckily for him, it was easy to get near them to ask questions, because it seemed that wherever he went, one of them would always appear. 

Exhibit A

He was late. Why did he stay up all night to binge all those old All Might documentaries? So irresponsible! 

Clutching his yellow backpack, Izuku ran as hard and quick as his legs could take him. He didn't bother to take the elevator, that would only make him even later for class. 

Izuku turned the corner and ran face-first into someone's chest. Both bodies fell to the floor with an Oomph! One voice significantly deeper than his own. 

Simultaneously, Izuku and the figure lifted their heads and rested their bodies on their elbows. Izuku blushed slightly in embarrassment after getting a clear look at who he bumped into. He scrambled to his feet and over to the lying figure on the ground. 

"Todoroki! I'm so sorry I didn't see you! I'm late for class and- wait why aren't you in class?"

Todoroki took the greenette's hand that was held out to him and pulled up at the same time as Izuku. He hesitated to let go, wishing they could stay holding hands like this for all time. 

"I came to look for you. I was worried since you were uncharacteristically tardy." Todoroki replied. He had a dazed expression as Izuku responded, his eyes moving, indicating that he was examining Izuku's delicate facial features. 

"That's really nice of you! We should hurry though, we're both extremely late!" smiled Izuku. He turned to quickly pick up his rejected backpack and dash down the stairs. 

Exhibit B

Izuku's eyes fluttered closed as he yawned while trudging to the elevator in the dorms. It was midnight and Izuku had just finished studying for an upcoming quiz. All that studying gave him a craving for peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Izuku's tummy moaned earnestly at the thought. 

A floor later, Izuku arrived at the common room. He walked out after the doors opened and made his merry way to the kitchen where his long-awaited sandwich would soon be created. 

In the process of spreading peanut butter onto bread, Izuku realized that he had forgotten to take out the jelly. He set the butter knife down carefully and spun around, where he confronted a certain loud and dreadfully expressive blonde staring down at him with crimson beady eyes. 

Izuku let out an embarrassingly high yelp in surprise at the unexpected presence. 

"Fuck, you scared me," Izuku said breathlessly, clutching the part of his shirt where his heart lay underneath (I BELIEVE IN IZUKU CURSING SUPREMACY). Bakugou raised an eyebrow at the shorter teen.

"Don't curse, Deku, it doesn't suit you." 

"Don't just sneak up on me like that," Izuku said, annoyed at the sudden intrusion, and moving around Bakugou to the fridge.
