Slight Fluff
Todoroki's POV
"Oooh, how about those?" Midoriya pointed to some Lays chips on a shelf.
I was sent to the store by my father for who knows why. I didn't want to go alone so I asked Midoriya to come along. I honestly didn't think he'd say yes.
"I'm not much of a fan of sour cream and onion."
Midoriya huffed and sank down in the buggy that he was laying in.
"Marshmallows!" He reached over and grabbed a bag of marshmallows.
"No." I snatched it out of his hand and put it back. "My father insisted that I go by the list that he gave me. If I get anything more he'll definitely murder me." I pushed the buggy with more force and pushed to the paper towel aisle.
"But Todo!" Midoriya whined.
"No."
"All you say is no!" He pouted. When I made it to the aisle, I grabbed a pack of paper towels and put it in the buggy. I leaned down and kissed Midoriya's lips.
"Don't be like that. And no I don't."
"See, there you go right there!"
I ignored him and kept pushing the buggy.
"What's next?" I asked Midoriya, who was holding the list.
"Umm, three boxes of cereal."
"Does it say which kind?"
"No."
I cursed inside my head. How am I supposed to get the right cereal if I don't know which ones to get? Why does my father have to be such a dick.
I sighed loudly in annoyance. "How the hell are we supposed to get the cereal if we don't know what kind?" I muttered, the anger building up quickly in my body. "Cool down, Todoroki." Midoriya laughed at his unintended joke.
"I'm not amused." I said nonchalantly, pinching his nose lightly. I turned into the cereal aisle and looked around. Midoriya sat up and looked around with me. "Well, what's your favorite cereal to eat?" He asked.
"Umm.." Now that I think about it, I don't have one.
"I-I don't have one. I don't eat cereal." I admitted shamefully. Midoriya whipped his body around to look at me and gasped. His eyes widened in disbelief. "You don't eat cereal?!" He asked. I shook my head slowly. "I don't eat breakfast because my dad wakes me up at the crack of dawn to get ready for school and..." I trailed off. I don't want Midoriya to know my secret. I stared into his big green eyes.
"And what?" He asked.
I shook the bad memories out of my head. "Nothing. I know that my sister eats Captain Crunch and my brother eats Cocoa Krispies but I'm not sure what dad eats." I said. I hated not telling Midoriya the truth. I feel like I'm lying to him somehow.
I put the two cereal boxes in the buggy and started pushing. I was working on automatic as I was completely lost in thought.
"Shouto." I snapped back to reality as I heard the use of my first name. I looked down to see Midoriya staring worriedly at me. "W-What is your dad doing with you in the morning?" He asked. I fought back the urge to tell him. "What's next on the list?"
"Todoroki tell me!"
"I can't okay? Stop asking." I snapped. I saw Midoriya sit back down. I felt bad for yelling at him.
.....
"So we got everything on the list." Midoriya informed me. "Alright, let's buy this stuff. Out you go!" Midoriya stood up and allowed me to carry him out of the buggy. He hugged me from behind as I pushed the buggy to the check-out area.
