06. Ivy

You leave for your minacious duty,
And I waited even though you left me out of cruelty.
My heart's abyss grew deeper as I watched you destroy yourself to keep her.
I gave you all my pastels, only to see you with her, making necklaces out of shells.
You painted her charcoal painting, not knowing I've always been here waiting.
I introduced my colors to you, for you to watch her paint you blue.
She scorched your skin, leaving you burned, but to you, her flames left you adorned.
I knew you like the back of my hand, but you chose to protect her homeland.
If only you knew how much my heart beats for you, maybe you'd look at me too.
Was my love too strong to have me waiting this long?

I could wait for you until the sea dries,
Until there are no longer clouds in the skies.
She was a dictator who was nothing but morbid,
But you blindly chose a damsel filled with vild.
Now I write this letter of farewell, hoping that my yearning would dispel.
They say you're lucky to fall in love with a friend,
Now I see you with your child during the weekend.
Did her wrath maim you like how you maimed me?
Did she drown you the same way you forced me to flee?

My heart is tied to you like ivy vines,
I should've cut you off when I saw the signs.
Maybe my misery would've been avoided if I hadn't let your name be embroidered on my heart, my skin, and my soul.
Perhaps I wouldn't have given you my whole.
My flower garden is for you to destroy, and I'd let you, only if you make me yours.
My rose quartz for you has no price, just hold my hand until we reach the stars.
I'd perish every fish in the ocean for you, for you have my soul and my devotion.
I could do everything to make you mine, I would make the sea red as wine.
You could be my false god, I'd kneel in front of you with no facade.
Now I water my ivy every single day, hoping to see you at the doorway.
