38. The Frog and the Cat

Ribbiting melodies, the frog begins her day,
Eagerly hopping on lily pads, she's on her way.
Nourishing flies and bugs, her morning feast,
Yearning for adventure as her gaiety never ceased.

Under the sun's warm rays, she basks and croaks,
Eyes gleaming with joy as she hops and pokes.
Journeying through marshes, reeds, and blue,
In the pond's reflection, her dreams renew.

Eagerly, she explores the world around,
Joining in chorus with a harmonious sound.
In the twilight hour, she rests with a yawn,
Eying the stars that shimmer in the dawn.

In the moonlight's glow, she croons a serenade,
Eager to embrace the moon's silver cascade.
Joining the stars in a nocturnal dance,
Illuminating the pond in a cosmic trance.

She thinks of her lazy friend's world, which she's never seen,
A mystical cat who roams through meadows, so serene.
A pink cat with eyes so wide, the frog ponders where she resides, after many years, time swiftly flows.
In distant meadows, does she still roam with grace that glows?

The frog and the cat once shared a village,
Playing and laughing, hearts full of courage.
Now parted ways, their memories entwined,
Footprints of friendship, a bond undefined.

Through the marshes and reeds, they once explored,
Two kindred spirits, their bond adored.
But life's winding paths led them astray,
Yet memories linger like a gentle sway.

The frog cherishes their moments of glee,
As the cat's spirit roams wild and free.
Though they walk separate paths at night,
Their connection remains in an eternal light.

And so, as the frog croons her serenade,
Under the moon's gentle cascade,
She wishes her cat friend well on her quest,
In the meadows of dreams, where hearts can rest.

She remembers her friend's words; "Teenage dreams may not be forever,
but I hope we can be each other's solitude in each endeavor."
The memories they shared, a treasure unseen,
In the frog's heart, the cat's footprints forever gleam.
