[a/n] I'm sorry it took so long and it's also hella short im so sorry ughhh :c I wanted to update so yeah, i get off school early a few days this week, but i can't promise anything. Hopefully more soon :) I'm sorry. Hope you all like it anyways :)

We both remained quiet after that. Soon, Tyler started to chuckle and a second later, I was laughing too. He looked at me, I looked at him.

”That makes me feel all warm and happy inside, being able to call you my girlfriend now.” Tyler said. I put my head on his shoulder and said, “me too. I like it. I like you.”

“I like you too. I have for a while now.” He said.

“Seriously?”

“Yeah. I don’t remember the exact moment, but I thought you were really pretty like, as soon as I looked at you on that bus.”

“Is that why you sat next to me?”

“No. You were in my regular spot, so I sat in the seat next to it. I only really looked at you when you asked me something. Don’t even remember what it was to be honest?”

“Earphones?”

“Probably.” Tyler said, putting his arm around me. “Aren’t you cold? It’s gotten dark and a bit windy so if you want my sweater or want to go home, it’s fine.”
“I’m good, Ty. Thanks. I like to watch the stars with you.”

“Good. I like that too.”

We remained quiet for a bit, looking up at the sky. We were only accompanied by the sound of waves crashing, and it was extremely calming.

“I can imagine you liked to go here. Do you miss it?”

“Sometimes. I like this place better than Columbus and most my friends are here. But I’m glad I met you in Columbus.”

He smiled. We both spoke quietly. Just above a whisper, as if any sound would be too loud, as if every word we spoke would be one too many.

“It’s weird how there’s so much out there, so much we don’t know. The stars are far away, but then there’s so much behind the stars, and we don’t know a single thing about those things.” Tyler said. “I mean, I know Jupiter has four moons and I know Saturn has a ring but there’s so much more out there, and we barely know anything about it.”

Instead of ruining what we were experiencing, Tyler made everything look ever prettier than it already was.

“I’m not sure whether it amazes me or frightens me to the core, but it definitely is beautiful.” He said.

“It sure is.” I said softly, snuggling a bit closer to him. He rubbed my back, holding me a bit closer.

We stayed like that for a few moments, silently.

“You’re beautiful too. And sweet and smart and cute and you’ve helped me a lot these weeks. You showed me that it’s okay to trust people and that falling in love isn’t always a bad thing. So, thank you so much for that.”

“You’ve done it all yourself, Ty. It’s all you.” I told him, smiling. He grabbed my hand and slowly got up.

“But still, I couldn’t have done it without you.” He said. “Do you think we should head back?”

“Maybe.”

“Do you think I can kiss you?”

“Maybe.” I said, smiling playfully, still gazing at the stars.

“Well, it’s take it or leave it.” He replied, and I think I saw him wink from the corner of my eye.

“I guess I’ll take it, then.” We pulled each other close, smiling at each other.

Tyler placed one hand on my jaw, and softly placed his lips on mine.

Oh, and how I kept thinking Seattle felt like home.

Tyler felt like home.
