[a/n] let's all pretend it hasn't been a month since my last update

We pulled each other close, hugging tightly. I placed my head on his chest, admiring the warmth we shared. Tyler kissed my head and took my hand, guiding us back to the pier, then back to my grandparents’ house.

We held hands the entire time, talking about ourselves, our families, our surroundings, everything.

“Well,” Tyler said, “when we started talking, I thought you were the prettiest girl I’d ever seen. I was almost scared to look into your eyes because the only thing I’d be able to do was stare, which would probably be a little creepy as we were complete strangers.”

I blushed at the compliment, and Tyler wrapped his hand around mine a little tighter.

“But I still decided to ask your number, not expecting too much but not wanting to miss the opportunity, you see? I usually don’t do that stuff. It just felt really, really right.”

“This does feel right.” I said.

“I fell in love with you so quickly, you can’t even imagine.”

“When?”

“Remember when we watched that movie, and you fell asleep?” Tyler asked.

I just nodded and scooched to walk a little bit closer.

“That’s when I realized how much I adored you, now I adore you even more. You looked so peaceful that night.”

“I’m still sorry for falling asleep, though.”

“Don’t be, Jenna. It was actually nice to watch someone as gorgeous as you sleep. And that sounded a lot creepier than intended.”

We laughed, l held hands and shared a few kisses on the walk home. When we arrived, grandma gave us an expecting look, congratulating us before we even confirmed anything.

After a cup of tea, Tyler went upstairs to take a shower, and I had to explain everything. My grandma was the cutest woman ever, all happy about me having ‘such a cute boyfriend’ (she was definitely right) and told me she had already informed my mom about everything. When I checked my phone a few minutes later, I had 5 unread texts from my mom, and about a million from Scott, Olivia and Paige. I replied to my mom first, doing some explaining, sent a picture of Tyler and told her I’d call her tomorrow.

After texting the Seattle squad, there was an eruption of caps lock messages, which honestly was to be expected.

When Tyler re-entered the room, I put my phone away, grabbing everyone something to drink. Granddad decided we were going to watch a movie.

------------------

The movie was over, Tyler and I sat on the couch, snuggled together, his arm draped over my shoulder. My grandparents got up, starting to get ready to go to bed. 10 minutes later, they wished us a good night.

"Seperate rooms, lovebirds!" Grandma joked with an obvious wink, earning an awkward chuckle from Tyler and a tomato red face from me.

"Don't worry ma'am, I'll make sure I'll go to my own bed." Tyler said before grandma left the room.

"Aaaaawkwaaaard." He chuckled when the coast was clear.

"Oh my gosh, I have never felt this sorry for myself."

We flipped through the tv channels and eventually got stuck on some comedy show. Tyler pulled me close, I was now facing him, half straddling, my hands in his neck and his hands on my shoulders.

Tyler looked me up and down and pulled me a little closer. His gaze shifting from my eyes to my lips and back.

"I surely have a dime-piece girlfriend."

We hugged tightly, we kissed feather light kisses and we snuggled together on the couch.

Around 1 AM, Tyler turned off the tv, scooped me up from the couch and carried me upstairs. We brushed our teeth and then I went to my room to change into my pajamas.

I got on the bed, on top of the duvet and checked my social media. When I heard Tyler knock on the door, I called him in.

Sticking his head around the door, he said: "I'm not going to do any of those things your grandma is fearing, but I kind of did want to wish you a good night, if that's okay."

"Get over here, you doofus."

Tyler practically ran over and jumped on top of me on the bed, attacking me with a hug. We nearly fell on the floor on the other side of the bed, but instead we stood up so we could hug like normal people would. (even though the abnormal way maybe was more fun and challenging)

Tyler kissed my forehead, then my lips, soft and short, but full of love and affection.

“Sleep well, lovely.”

He walked away, but I held his hand, pulling him back into my arms. I kissed him, a little longer now. Tyler’s mouth tasted like minty toothpaste and buttered popcorn, and was soft as marshmallows and pillows.

We broke the kiss, foreheads touching. “Sleep well, Tyler Joseph.”

“Have some sweet dreams, Jenna Black.”

[a/n] sorry if this was lame. also i have never made out with a marshmallow nor a pillow but i can imagine its nice. hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading etc :)
