42. From dark to light

No POV

"Y-you can't Ash." Serena said visibly shaking.

"I can and I have to. Sereny tell me and you too Clemont. Before you met me, how many times did you get into situations that could end up with dead?" he said, looking down his feet. Clemont and Serena looked at each other, trying to think of anything, but they couldn't. "My point. With me, life is dangerous. It can be good in some moments, but it is always something trying to get to you or me."

"But if I didn't travel with you, I wouldn't know what to do next in my life." Serena countered, but Ash didn't look up.

"And now is perfect time for me, to leave. You will be just fine and safe without me." Ash said, remembering the same thing that happened.

"But we don't want you to leave." Clemont joined Serena, but Ash only held his hands over his face.

"Do you wanna die or someone else to die?" raven-haired trainer mumbled, not caring about what he would say anyway.

"But I can't loose you Ash! We can't loose you like Bonnie!" Serena yelled, tears in her eyes edge. Ash looked into her eyes and saw something he saw her anger, determination and sadness. He sighed frustrated and looked at them.

As they were arguing, Meyer sat on ground floor next to elevator, his hands covered in blood. He was starting to go crazy.

He lost his daughter and couldn't think about anything, not even looking at Clembot who was going crazy.

He didn't even notice how door in front of him opened and person with slender figure walked inside and even the small giggle didn't make him look up.

He only froze when soft hands hugged his body and tears soaked his shirt.

"Do you really want to continue after this! For Arceus sake, Bonnie died! Another person died because of me, I am not letting others die!" Ash yelled as he started to walk out from room. Pikachu and Braixen looked at this whole situations with worries how to calm down their trainers.

"Wait, what do you mean by that? Who else died?" Clemont asked confused, making Ash freeze on his place. He turned around looking at them and they back at him.

"That is not the point now. My point is I am not staying after Bonnie died!"

Clemont and Serena were about to counter, but then like in one moment something sucked all the air and blood out of them and both pokemon behind them as well. Ash looked at them confused thinking they didn't know how to answer until small tap on his shoulder and turned around. He didn't know what was failing, either his eyes, mind or brain.

In doors stood Meyer with his arm over a girl. She was higher a little bit more than Meyer's sides. She had long sandy blond hair reaching her back with blue hair rubber band on her side letting one hair lock to side and over her forehead buns and under them blue eyes. She wore yellow dress with orange jacket and green shorts, orange shoes and held in her hands yellow bag with black straps.

"And if I never died?"

All of them stood in silence, until Clemont crashed on ground.

"Shoot. We have call from headquarters." Meowth spoke as he held the disk that was glowing and beeping. All of them looked at it, silently agreeing. They placed it on ground, a woman with glasses and purple straight hair.

"Your time is almost up. Do you have the pokemon you were tasked or not because your time is almost up." All of them nervously looked at each other.

"You see, we wanted to ask about the group of team Rocket that were arrested here in Kalos." James asked trying to avoid the question.

"Not all of them, but that is not your business. Answer the question."

"We-well about the Riolu. It already evolved into Lucario and was transferred into into another location." Meowth said before Jessie could answer. Matori looked at them, raised her eyebrow.

"Of course. It just proves what was told to me. You had six months, which means only a few weeks? Make sure you use them." Matori spoke and the communication was shut down.

"We should capture something. We sure will get more popularity and we won't be so low for them to think so that they can't let us work anymore. What do you think? We can do it and we will prove that to damn woman that we are not done!" Jessie started slowly and uncertainly but got into more confidence and all of them cheered

Matori face palmed and started to search in her computer for what she was looking for, finding one new email and the file 3D. She opened the email, her eyes widening, but nodding then looking changing the 3D. 

3D from 'testing for usefulness' to 'dead'.
