I woke up pretty excited for today. Soren was going to meet me up before class at the library. I got out of bed and straight into the bathroom. I quickly brushed out my long hair, and then I put it into a ponytail. I smiled at myself as I went to my contacts. Wait….Where are they? I was so sad then. Oh no! I don’t want to wear my glasses! No! I think I really like Soren! I don’t want to look like a fool!

I sighed as I grabbed my glasses. They were thick white things. I frowned as I looked into the mirror. I look pathetic. I put them into my pocket then I walked back into the room. Peace was bussing herself and Kristen was gone. I grabbed my books then I headed towards the library.

Everything was very blurry. I kept to the walls as I walked, and I looked at the floors.

Finally I was able to make it to the library. I looked around for Soren and well I can’t see with the glasses. I sighed as I slide on the glasses. I looked around and almost immediately regretted it. There stood Soren, he was talking to Mrs. Linfield. He immediately spotted me. Mrs. Linfield turned to go help a student as Soren ran over to me.

I bit my lip as he came to a stop in front of me. “Olivia is that you?” Soren joked as I looked down. Soren took his hand and moved some stray hair out of my face. “Now that’s better.” He muttered to me. I could feel my cheeks light up.

“Like the glasses Liv.” Soren smiled. Liv? Is that my nickname now? I’ve never had a nickname. I smiled back. “I was wondering if maybe we could go to the office and see if they have any contacts.” I muttered. Soren smiled at me as he nodded. Then he put his hand on his hip, signaling me to loop my arm around his and all that. Which I ended up doing.

After both of us walking to the office, not exchanging a lot of conversation the nurse lead me into her room and I sat on those bed things. Soren sat waiting for me in the chair. “Soren you can leave…” The nurse began but Soren stopped her. “I’m Olivia’s escort.” He simply stated as he smiled at me. The nurse rolled her eyes as she went to go get ‘my box’ which she stated had my contacts in them.

“Do you hear that?” Soren asked as he leaned towards the door. I lightly jumped off of the bed and tip toped towards the door. Soren and I both leaned against the door, listening to the office talk about something.

“I didn’t know John had a son.” “Neither did I.” “Why would John keep him hidden?” “The better question is……does he have a wife?” “I’ve never seen any pictures.” “He’s never mentioned them……” “Maybe he adopted him?” “No, the son…..Aiden, looks much to like John.” “Let’s just drop it.” “So many questions though….” “DROP IT!”

“Liv, there are footsteps coming.” Soren said. I nodded my head and hurried back to the bed, not though before nearly tripping and falling on my face. Right when I was fully seated on the bed, the door opened and the nurse came in. She had a small little box. She handed them to me and told me to hurry and get them in. Class in 15 minutes.

So we were off again, Soren and I were still going to go to the library. I just needed to take a little stop in the girl’s restroom. I smiled at myself in the mirror once those glasses were gone. I didn’t like them at all, even if the contacts were a bit itchy. Once they were in Soren and I took off to the library.

I slowly scanned the bookshelves looking for the one book Soren told me I MUST read, so I was looking for it. I kept my mind focused on the shelf, nothing more nothing less. I hit something and I ended up on the floor. I shook my head that really hurt. “Oh I am so sorry!” Someone said as I picked myself off the ground. “Are you okay?” I looked to see a girl, who ran into me. She was very tall, brown hair, caramel eyes, slender. “I’m fine.” I said. She smiled as she held out her hand. “I’m Sarah.” She said as she smiled. “Olivia.” I replied as I shook her hand.
