Chase's P.O.V

I sat up fast as my alarm began to ring. I normally am so tired, but for one I got so much sleep yesterday and two it's the first day. I don't want to be late. I got out of bed noticing Jabari was already gone. Well someone is a very early riser. I smiled as I got up and opened the blinds letting in light from a beautiful day. I bet today will be awesome!

 I was in my boxers, or well you could call them my pj's. I walked around the room humming the song Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones. I pulled on my khakis, and button up shirt heading into the bathroom to spray on my axe, it was chocolate kind. Then I slide on my jacket and white sneakers. I smiled at myself grabbing my schedule and heading into the hallways to go find my first class. I found it really fast thankfully. I was about 4th there. I took a seat next to a girl who was immersed into her book. I leaned back glancing at the ceiling. Suddenly I saw someone come into the room.

"Soren!" I called as I put up my hand like a little kid, waving him over. Soren smiled at me as he walked over taking the seat next to me. We high5ed as he sat down. Soren looked more and more like a teacher in his uniform. Then his hair looked so neat and tidy, mine was the complete opposite bedhead. I almost laughed.

"So Chase what classes do you have?" Soren asked as he pulled out his schedule from the book he had been carrying. He handed his to me and I handed mine to his. I scanned his sheet, feeling my smile get bigger and bigger. We had practically the same schedule except......

"So close, only off by two! Stupid Science and Foreign Languages." I muttered as I handed Soren back his schedule. Soren snapped his hands, with a frown on his face. Suddenly his frown was whipped off his face. He leaned forward, looking around me. Then he smiled. What was he smiling about? I leaned back then I looked at what Soren was looking at, it was the girl with her face buried in her book.

"Olivia!" Soren said as he stood up and jumped into the desk in front of me sitting right in it. The girl glanced up at us, smiling weakly as she put her book down. She had long red hair and bright blue eyes that really stood out. She smiled shyly at Soren giving a little wave. I could just see the cover of the book she was reading, it was The Lonely Bones. Soren was smiling at me as I looked from the book to Soren then back to Olivia.

"Olivia this is my friend Chase, Chase this is Olivia." Soren said gesturing from me to Olivia. I smiled at her as she held out her hand. I shook it as suddenly students poured into room. Soren got back into his seat and I turn to the front. I took a quick breath, well here you go Chase. Time to make this year awesome. Goals, make as many friends possible. Get on as many sports teams, not girl ones though. And maybe just maybe get a girlfriend. My first hour teacher stood in the front of the room smiling at all of us with a bunch of stuff in his hands as we all sat waiting for him to talk. He was pretty tall with brown hair and blue eyes. I could see a feel girls drooling over him. I rolled my eyes.

"Welcome students to your first day in Social Studies I'm Professor James and I will be our teacher for 1st period everyday till the school year is done. I hope we have a fantastic year together. Today I will be handing out materials and giving you a list of what we expect in my classroom." Our Professor said as he walked around passing out materials. I had a feeling that pretty boy and I wouldn't be friends. He dropped the stuff on my desk and there was a sticky note on the top of it, it read:

Heard you played Basketball.

Hope to see you at Practice tonight 7 exactly.
