Chapter 5 Aftermath

Chase's P.O.V

I bit my lip as I slowly wrote down the translation.

'Diga si usted quiere que mal

No dejes que se escape'

I rubbed my head ready to turn to Jabari for help, but he was busy reading. I sighed as I tossed my notebook towards the wall. Though it fell short. I grumbled as I sat up on my bed. It was a beautiful Friday Morning and the best thing was no school! Though I was hoping to hang out with Kirsten all weekend. So I wanted to get this done as fast as I can.

Though Mr. Kennedy gave us such a stupid assignment. "Write a line from a song you like, then translate it to Spanish." I said in a high pitched tone. Jabari glanced up from his stuff, and I just smiled. He rolled his eyes right before he went back to his little world.

I fell back onto my bed and closed my eyes imagining Kirsten & mine's date.

So we all went to a fancy restaurant and yah. It was awesome, we all ordered pretty cheaply, mostly when well. How should I put it, None of us have Jobs. So afterwards we went to Zane's dorm to watch Socriety row. In the end it was a great night!

I crossed my arms as I sat back up. Suddenly something filled my nose. It smelled horrible......oh wait.....that's me. I stood up as I threw my hands in the air. "I give up on Spanish!" I yelled as I stomped off into the bathroom. Though I was able to hear Jabari's remark of, "Good to know."

"She gave you a flower, the one that God gave her. You all up in de kool-aid but you do not know de flavor. Get into the zone baby and do yourself a favor. Head down spin around get a little refried. If that don't get it you can catch it on the b-side. Just push play. F***N A. Just push play. They're gonna bleep it anyway. Just push play" I sang. Though I have to admit. I suck at singing. So I probably sounded like a dingo eating a baby. Whatever. I stopped singing as I put the conditioner through my hair, then I began to hum.

Suddenly I heard the sound of the bathroom door squeaking opening. What the-? Doesn't Jabari know I'm IN here?! Come on! “Jabari, you know I’m in here!” I paused for a second, “Don’t worry I’ll only be a sec!” I yelled as I kept looking at the shower curtain.......waiting. You never know when it can be a serial killer. Just saying. It was silent for a second, then suddenly a voice blurted out right before it burst out laughing. “Get out!”

Hey, that isn't Jabari's voice........that's “Is that Kristen?”I asked, not really to anyone. “Look for yourself!” Jabari yelled, right before i heard the dorm door shut. Okay, now I get it! I looked around the curtain to see Kristen standing right there. "Hi!" She said as her smile grew on her face. She tossed me a towel right as she turned around. I grabbed it with ease and slung it around my waist. I quietly got out of the shower and I brought her into a hug. In a single twist she turned around and brought her lips to mine. When we finally pulled away, I said, “Hello there.”

“You’re still wet.” she stated just before her cheeks began to light up. I smiled thinking about where she had taken her comment. “I mean, like how you’ve just stepped out of the shower. Not the other kind. Just ignore that whole sentence, please.” she tried to fix her mistake, though I thought it was so damn cute. Her blush and all. “I know what you meant don’t worry.” I grinned. We stood there for a second. Not saying anything. Though I was surely thinking about a lot in those few seconds. Mostly about how wonderful Kirsten is.

“Good, I’m gonna go now. ‘Cause your towel is about to fall.” She said right before she bolted out of my room, though right after she threw my clothes at me. I smiled as I began to shut the door and get dressed. Jeans, my black Hollister shirt, and lastly a thin sweatshirt that read 'Wringsworth's Basketball Club, Huntington Beach Cali'. It was getting really cold lately.....I miss warm Cali weather. Sigh-
