You arrived in the Bahamas, stepping off the jet and being met with the warm air against your face. Natasha still hadn't said a word to you, nor had she glanced in your direction. She picked up her bags and walked off into the hotel leaving you behind to struggle with yours.

As soon as you had stepped foot into the hotel, you dropped your bags at the door so someone could collect them for you whilst Natasha seemed to be having some sort of disagreement with the receptionist, until she picked up her bags again and began walking off again, seemingly even more pissed than before. You followed behind, having the bell boy carry your bags for you. All three of you got into the elevator, awkward silence filling the air, an awkwardness you were sure that even the bell boy could feel. The elevator stopped and the second the door opened Nat stormed off in front of you once again to room number 115. She unlocked the door, placing her bags down and going inside.

You stood outside staring at her as if silently asking for the keys to your room. She looked over to see why she hadn't heard the door shut yet only to see you stood there awkwardly.

"The keys...to my room?"  You asked.

"Tony's only booked us one God damn room." She answered through gritted teeth walking to the bedroom and taking in the scenery.

Could this get any worse?

"What The Actual Fuck?!" You heard Natasha yell.

You wandered over to see what she was so upset about and froze at the door. Guess you spoke too soon.

"One fucking double bed." She growled, pulling out her phone and dropping Tony an angry text, knowing he'd done it to piss the both of you off. "You can take the couch."

"What the fuck? No. You take the couch." You glared at her.

"I'm not sleeping on that."

"Well neither am i."

"Fine. Then we'll have to share the bed." Nat smirked, knowing that you weren't going to agree with her.

You shook your head and walked over to the couch, secretly telling her that you'd sleep on it and you wished more than anything that you could smack the smug look she showed straight off her face. The journey had taken a good 5 hours and due to the 2-hour time distance between the Bahamas and the US, it was now 3 pm. Meaning you were getting peckish.

"We should get food." You suggested.

"Yeah." She replied bluntly.

"Well, know anywhere we could go?"

She scoffed. "Who's we? I never said i'd get food with you. Just that i'd get food."

"I thought we agreed on not arguing over these next few days." You shouted through to her bedroom so she could hear you as she slammed the door shut.

"That was before you decided to make stupid jokes." She shouted back.

"Whatever Natasha. Grow up. It was one joke for fucks sake."

"Grow up? Me grow up?" She stormed back into the living room. "I'm not the one complaining about spending four god damn days with me!"

"That's funny because I'm sure I recall you telling me you'd rather slit your own throat than spend an hour with me?"

"Can't you see why? Look at you. You're pathetic. How you landed yourself on this job I do not know."

Ouch.

"Well at least I don't ignore someone for 5 hours over a joke they made." You lowered your voice due to the hurt you felt from the last insult she threw at you and only now realised how close your and Natasha's faces were together.

Your noses were almost touching and you swear for a second she glanced down at your lips. You immediately felt yourself calm down slightly, and as the sharp look on her face disappeared it seemed that she had too. You saw her hand lift slowly to rest on your cheek but just before it could make contact there was a knock at the door, pulling you both from your thoughts. You pulled back, your mind racing, and opened the door.

Maybe the hate between you both was all an act, a way of hiding any feelings you might have for one another. You and her seemed to be having moments like these a lot lately, the eye contact, the butterflies you got when you were around her, getting flustered just by being under her gaze. You could've sworn that for a second back then she was going to kiss you, and honestly, you would've kissed back.
