You finished your food, beginning to feel a little bit better already and went into the front room, where Nat was still watching TV, to get your stuff out of your suitcase ready for bed.

"You can have your bed back if you want it." You told her. "I'll take the couch."

She shook her head. "You've had a rough day. You should take the bed."

"No. It's fine honestly. You should take the b-"

"Just take the bed okay. I'm fine here."

"Okay. Thank you." You nodded, smiling thankfully and then taking your nightwear out of your suitcase and going to the bathroom to get changed. Once you were done you headed back to bed in an attempt to get some sleep, but you doubted you would due to everything that had happened today.

You closed your eyes trying to push away all the thoughts in your head. But one thought in particular that you couldn't push away was Natasha, which seemed to be common lately because, in all honesty, you'd become crazy about her.

You laid in bed for about 20 minutes, tossing and turning repeatedly. You couldn't help but be concerned about everything that had happened to you at HYDRA. Coughing up blood definitely wasn't an everyday occurrence. So had it gone to shit. Were you dying?

You got out of bed and headed to the bathroom, locking the door behind you. You paced back and forth, running your thumb and second finger up and down the bridge of your nose, trying to come to terms with everything. You leaned against the sink and splashed your face with cold water. Grabbing a towel from the rack and looking up into the mirror to dry your face off, but dropping it on the floor instead and backing into the wall at the sight of your eyes now being purple. What the hell was happening to you?

Your panic was interrupted by a knock at the door, you squeezed your eyes together hoping to get them back to your normal eye colour. You looked back into the mirror and a wave of relief washed over you when you realised your eyes were back to the shade of y/e/c they should've been.

"Y/N. It's me. Is everything okay?" Came Natasha's voice through the door.

You unlocked the door, stepping out of the bathroom.

"Yeah. I- um. Everything's fine. Thanks." You stuttered out. Forcing a quick smile and walking back to your bed.

"Right. Okay then." She went to go back to the couch again but you stopped her.

"Wait. Can you er... can you stay? Please" You plucked up the courage to ask, your voice timid, worried about what her answer might be. But you were in desperate need of her comfort right now.

"Erm- sure." She seemed flustered but you were sure she was just confused as to why you wanted her to stay.

"It's just. I can't sleep after everything that's gone off so maybe I'll feel a little safer if I have someone in here with me."

"Yeah. I get it."

She climbed into bed next to you and you were only now realising the bags under her eyes. Meaning she probably didn't sleep last night, probably due to the fact you were missing. You felt that same twinge of guilt you kept feeling resurface once again.

"Night." You said. Turning over to sleep on your side, your back to the assassin.

"Goodnight." She did the same.

Your heart was beating way too fast for your liking right now and you were sure your feelings for the girl who now lay next to you were even stronger than before, probably another result of the injection. But your worry about pretty much everything else had disappeared for now. And all you could think about was the redhead lay next to you. You closed your eyes, finally letting yourself fall into a deep slumber.
