Fifteen

You stirred awake the next morning with the redhead still lay in your arms. You looked down to see her eyes glazing over your face and smiling softly at you.

"Good morning." She whispered, her voice sounding sleepy and raspy.

"Morning." You smiled, rubbing your eyes and then kissing the crown of her head. "Sleep well?"

"Mhm. Did you?"

"Better than ever which is weird considering the fact i'm in a hospital bed." You spoke the last part slowly almost as if it was a question and furrowed your eyebrows.

"Yeah? Maybe it's cause you have me next to you." She joked, winking at you and capturing your lips in a quick kiss. Not caring about either of your morning breathes.

"No i don't think so. You're quite heavy. You were making it kinda hard to breathe." You joked back.

She slapped your arm playfully. "Fine then. I'll just leave you here.. all.. alone." She dragged out the 'all' as she ran her finger down your arm softly, her eyes following after it and beginning to slowly get up.

You grabbed her wrist and pulled her body back onto yours. Wrapping your arms around her waist tightly ensuring she couldn't get up.

"You know i'm a lot stronger than you right?" She smirked, as she bit your arm making you yelp and release her from your grip.

"Thats cheating." You playfully pouted as she lay next to you, resting her arm on your stomach and positioning a leg on top of yours.

"Shut up." She shook her head teasingly as she traced circles, softly,  onto your stomach.

You laughed as you placed your hand on top of the one she had on top of your stomach and began stroking it soothingly. You lay like that, in silence for a while. Until Nat spoke up again.

"Want me to go find the nurse? I'll see if we can get you out of here yet."

"Five more minutes." You said rolling onto your side so you were face to face with her. You smiled at her lovingly as you tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear.

"You're like really fucking pretty. Y'know that?" You told her.

She smiled at you in return but rolled her eyes jokingly. "Shut up."

"No, no. i'm serious." You kept your gaze on her as you scooted a tad closer so your foreheads were nearly touching. "Your eyes. Your lips. Your nose. Even your heart. All of it." You pointed to each body part you named and leaved a few seconds between each one before going onto the next.

"You're so cheesy." She laughed. But you could tell that deep down she melted at your words by the look in her eyes.

"Okay okay. I'm sorry that i find you insanely attractive." You shook your head a little and turned back onto your back.

"Don't worry sugar. I think your just as pretty. Not as pretty as me of course. But still pretty." She smirked smugly as she leaned in and kissed you softly using the moment to thank you without actually saying it for the affection you just showed her. "Right. I'm gonna go find that nurse now. Best get you home."

"Okay. Don't take too long. I miss you already." You shouted after hair, sticking your bottom lip out playfully. She laughed as she left the room.

You lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, already missing the warmth of Nat's body next to yours. Just two minutes later she walked back through the door with the nurse following behind her.

"We're just gonna do a few more tests on you to make sure you're fit enough to leave." The nurse informed you, taking your temperature. "Your temperatures back to normal now. I just need to draw some blood to do tests on." She pulled out a needle and you began to panic slightly as the memories from HYDRA rekindled.
