Dating Rumor

After that night, Soomin didn't bother to reply to Jaebum. Not after she received a call from her manager. The paparazzi might not recognize her in the photos but some fans insisting that it was her, which is true except that they were not dating at all. The fandom was understandably group in their opinions, some wanted it and " accept them as a "couple." While some were not tolerating them "dating."

The day after that, the group got off their assigned van. Soomin with Jin and Yoongi as always. They saw some fans standing in front of the building with cardboard. Yoongi made Soomin looked at him instead when he felt the tension rising in Soomin.

She's scared.

Once the van stopped, they got off and straight to their practice room while Jeongguk and Soomin were called to explain what happened yesterday. Stepping into the room, Mr. Bang was there too.

"What were you even thinking to go there?" That was the first thing they heard as soon they sat down from Soomin's manager. She's just worried about her and the boys, Soomin knew it. Especially, after what her manager has seen for the last years.

"I'm sorry, it's my idea. Sorry for not telling you first before going." She murmured soft enough for them to hear, Jeongguk tried to calm her by holding her hand, squeezing it.

"Please explain everything and we will talk through this." The two maknae nodded, Soomin sigh from guilt while Jeongguk's eyes glow with concern for the girl.

The two explained everything, from the time they walked out of the agency building getting in Soomin's car. They talked about Jin and Hoseok joined them but told Mr. Bang not to get them because it's not their fault as Soomin said. They tell them that the shop owner recognized them, until the time they got in the park and back to Seoul when Yoongi called them.

"Okay, some articles were taken done and we will release a statement about this. Don't overthink about this kids, knowing that it was nothing but normally affection." Mr. Bang said which made them nodded.

"Just don't disappear without telling me you're going somewhere, okay?" Their manager said before they got dismissed and walking back to practice.

"Soomin, don't worry about this so much. We'll fix this okay?" Her manager told her before she can even walk far from the room. She nodded before her manager pulled her to a hug then let her go.

"I can't believe this happened just for naengmyeon." Jeongguk kid, trying to lighten the atmosphere which he did. Soomin chuckled softly at him. The two stopped by the lounge area, getting some food before back to their room.

"Do you think they know it was me?" She asked the boy which made Jeongguk stopped and frowns at her question.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You know, they wanted this all along and some fans. They didn't have to want me in the group in the first place." She said acting like it was too normal for her to speak that way. She can't be pointed out playing as a victim when all her words were true.

Some fans didn't want her to be with them, in the years they would pick on her for being with them as one of the boys. Or maybe she seduced the management to put her with them to get her ways with the boys. There are so many assumptions she's holding on her shoulder, but Soomin was never been vocal about it.

"I know they knew about it." He replied making Soomin turned to him before he added.

"Also, the haters know it's you but don't mind them. They would never be an ARMY if they hurting and not liking one of us." He said after that they enjoyed the whole minutes in the lift in silence. She's relieved that Jeongguk has her back and so the boys.

Until her phone ring, Soomin immediately picks it up. Greeting by the familiar voice on the other line. "Soomin? Can we talk?"

"Jaebum," She mentally screams at him, she was tired. Soomin can't deal with things like his deal, she already told him that after they last met. But the man keeps on insisting on something that she couldn't think about.

"Can we talk but not for now. I'm busy I have something to handle I—"

"I know but I just wanted you to explain it to me." He cut her off.

"I don't have anything to explain to you. I don't even know why do you messaged and call me." His line was silent but Soomin can hear his breath, Jaebum on the other hand was confused yet irrigated with her.

"I want you back."

Those words just spark a fire in her, not a good one. Her forehead wrinkled from her thoughts and for not wanting to say any word that can hurt him. Jeongguk tense up at her aura, she's frustrated yet the young lady seems to be calm.

"But not for me, not after what happened in those years to me. Not after that breakup, not after you left and didn't even try to fight for me, for us!" Jeongguk flinched after her last word. Her voice filled the lift, her anger affected the aura of the space. She ended the call.

She turned around and see Jeongguk was still standing beside her, he saw how her tears rolled down her cheeks tainting it with her pain and frustration. Jeongguk warmly embraces her when she weakly runs to him. Soomin seems to be half-conscious and did not even know that they arrived in their practice room after the other boys dashed to them, all concerned.

"Soomin, what happened?"

"Are you okay, princess?"

"Minie what's wrong?"

But Soomin was muted, unable to even hear them clearly as she floats in her world. The boys were worried for her, they called her manager to handle her for a minute as Hae know how to calm her. After minutes of waiting for her, Soomin got out of the dressing room.

"Hey guys, I'm sorry to have you worrying." The boys couldn't help but run to her, crowding her as Hae told them not to. But they pulled her down the floor and have her sat with them.

Yoongi put her on his lap, holding her. While the boys reached out for her hands. They talked and try to soothe her even more as they did well.

"It's not your fault Soomin." The boys assured her which made her nodded to them and smile.

She was grateful for them, to the boys and people helping her a lot. She's grateful that they were patient with her.

"So tell me who's I need to punch." Jimin's voice breaks the lovely atmosphere around them, as he gestured punching with his hands then Taehyung did too, as while Hoseok.

"Yeah, tell us who." Yoongi then agreed with his lazy voice before he yawns a bit. "It will cost less than rehabilitating my shoulders." He kid.
