"MEET ME AT THE LAKE, 11:00 PM :)"
That night, Milo was able to sleep.
Kinda.
The hours between twilight and dawn were plagued with a restless slumber and a certain young lady.
Unlike most thoughts of her, which were loving and appreciative, these thoughts were laced in insecurities and doubt.
Lips upon lips.
Spirit and body intertwined.
He believed with all his heart that it was the right moment.
He even swore that he could feel her reciprocate.
She was stunned and to be fair, so was he.
Maybe that's why she looked at him like that.
Not out of disgust, but positive surprise.
He shook his head.
All it was, was wishful thinking.
The look her face wore was enough to shatter any confidence he had in her feeling towards him.
'She must hate me', he dreaded, rubbing his hands over his eyes and up, brushing his hair off his forehead.
BEEP.
ALL INHABITANTS MUST PROCEED TO THE CENTRAL HALL.
BEEP.
'Guess I'll have to find out', he concluded. With a sigh, he stood up from his bed and walked towards his door.
Like every day, he triggered it with the print on his palm and exited, walking towards the main hall, like everyone else.
As he scanned the hall, like he did every day, he could feel his hands begin to sweat, the anticipation of seeing her becoming almost overwhelming.
He had no clue that Bonnie was just as nervous as he was.
Of course, the kiss had thrown her.
However, she wasn't opposed to it.
"Shit", he whispered, spotting her among their companions.
'Here goes nothing', he thought as he made his way over.
"Morning guys", Milo greeted, glancing at Bonnie, clearing his throat as he did.
"Morning Milo", the pair answered back in sync.
"Morning", Bonnie meekly replied, her nails becoming more interesting as she picked at them.
The aura that engulfed the pair was already strange.
