"TAKE BONNIE AND SURVIVE!"
Love is a strange thing.
It's a flower with gentle petaled fragments of relief and devotion.
Most of the time, your too naive to even notice its presence and for a while, it remains only as gracious butterflies fluttering on the outskirts of human cognition.
A disembodied voice, an echo in the depths of your subconscious.
A subtle heartbeat, buried under layers of soft mud.
But fate is stranger.
One moment it worked in your favour.
The next it turned completely against you.
It could either hold the door wide open for you to walk through, or slam it right in your face.
In this case, the door slammed shut and a held breath was released into the air.
"It shut..."
The elevator door.
It had shut.
Keeping the pair inside, and the enemy
out."IT SHUT!" Milo screamed with pure joy, picking up the young woman and holding her in his arms.
"I love you!", He cried, "I love you, I love you, I love you!"
He littered kiss after kiss upon her face.
He didn't even give her a chance to say it back.
However, once again, fate had taken a turn.
With a loud bang, the pair looked up at the ceiling of the elevator as it descended.
A huge dent had appeared in the roof as the metal creaked from the harsh pressure of the weight.
However, the doors opened before the predator had a chance to break through.
They bolted out of the elevator and down the halls.
With a stroke of luck, they made the correct turning and found themselves in a hall bigger than half the ship altogether.
In this hall were dozens of smaller ships which were being filled with other boys and girls just like them, yearning to escape the chaos and demise.
They needed a spot on the crafts.
Knowing the hunter was close behind, they sprinted straight into one of the ships.
The doors closed behind them as they watched what used to be Dr Medan draw closer.
By now, however, the hall had been cleared, the survivors finding shelter in the crafts.
"You can't!", it screamed, "You can't leave!"
It charged at the ship, causing it to violently rock as it started up, readying itself to take off.
"Your the divinity Milo!" It cried, "You don't understand!"
No, he didn't.
And he didn't want to.
Neither did Bonnie.
The craft was now hovering as the end of the ship opened up, revealing the endless chasm of outer space.
In Dr Medean's last desperate attempts, she dug her blades into the sides of the small craft but wasn't able to pierce through the gear.
The extraterrestrial was dragged along as they escaped.
They finally made it out into the open, leaving what they thought was meant to be their sanctuary behind.
"No!", it cried.
Through the small window, Bonnie and Milo watched as the flesh of the Intergrate bubbled and peeled, not equip to the airless space.
I guess that was the one flaw in Dr Medan's big plan.
She wasn't as powerful as she'd hoped.
The limbs began to fall from her body as they shrivelled and fired.
With little to no effort, the blades detached themselves from the ship.
Dr Medan fell from the craft and vanished into the depths of the abyss.
Moments later, the ship they had escaped suddenly erupted into a huge ball of light and flames, ejecting their small craft further away.
Now, everything on the ship they evaded was dead.
Both humans and Intergrates.
They'd done it.
They'd survived.
Together.
However, Sam and Tim weren't by their side.
'Take Bonnie and survive!'
That's what Sam had told Milo in her last moments.
He had to fulfil her final order.
He had to survive and it needed to be with Bonnie.
Milo secretly hoped that Tim had made it onto one of the smaller ships, zipping towards their next destination, where ever it may be.
Speaking of which, the pair had no clue where this ship was taking them.
Bonnie and Milo turned towards their fellow survivors.
Three girls and two boys, all sporting patches of blood, physical
representations of their struggles."H-hey", Milo choked out, glancing over at them, "Where's this ship going?"
The group shared looks.
"Earth"
