Stayin' Alive

Jerry

When we thought the tour was going well it took a turn. Robin took me out for lunch as Andy still wasn't well and Maurice was helping Linda and Barry look after the baby. I also needed some time alone with Robin to talk to him about Barry and Linda. We sat on an outside table of a cafe in Paris watching people pass.

"Robin I'm worried about the Barry and Maurice situation" I began

"So am I, what if she accidentally lets the truth slip" Robin agreed

"That's what I was gonna say" I said

Then someone walking past caught my eye. Jerry swaggered down the road, his eyes catching with mine.

"Rob" I muttered

He turned, his glare fixing with Jerry's scared look. Jerry didn't say anything as he entered the cafe, coming strait towards us. My hands went to the baby bump, scared he would do something. Robin was up in an instant, standing in front of me.

"She will marry me" Jerry snarled

"She will marry my brother" Robin snarled back

Jerry went in for a swing but Robin managed to catch his fist.

"Ros get back to the hotel" Robin said

"No, I want to make sure your okay" I replied standing up

Robin managed to smack Jerry round the face. Robin then got flung into the table, smashing strait through it. I jumped out of the way as Jerry went for me. He tried to get the ring off my finger but I wouldn't let him. Then Robin tackled Jerry to the ground. I stared ushering people out of the cafe so they didn't get injured. Both Robin and Jerry got quite beaten up but Jerry got knocked out. Robin had a black eye and a bust lip but he wasn't going to stop there. He kicked Jerry in the ribs before grabbing my hand.

"Let's get out of here" he said before we rushed down the road

We were at the hotel in no time, hoping Jerry wouldn't track us down. As we entered both Barry and Maurice looked up from the crib they were staring into. Linda was in our room napping while the two brothers and the baby were in Barrys.

"What happened?" Barry asked, the first to get a sentence out

"It was Jerry" I replied sitting Robin down on the bed

Barry and Maurice were rushing round to find a first aid kit, not realising I had already got it.

"Aren't you going to tell them?" Robin asked

"Nah, it's funnier" I replied cleaning Robins lip

Maurice returned with an ice pack and held it to Robins eye. Barry on the other hand, was on the case of the missing first aid kit. No one told him where it actually was. As I began putting the first aid kit away I felt a sharp pain go through my stomach.

"Ow" I moaned

"Are you okay?" The twins chorused jumping up

"They kicked" I replied "I'm fine"

The two relaxed, sitting back down.

"God I didn't realise babies kicking was so bad" I said clambering off the bed

Barry ran in, out of breath and waving a first aid kit above his head.

"I got one" he panted

I flashed him the one I had in my hand before putting it away. He slumped out of the room as Rose began crying. Me not being experienced went to try and calm her down. As I picked her up she got worse. I held her over my shoulder and tried burping her. Barry then re entered, rushing over to 'his' daughter. I wanted them to know the truth, yet was so scared of the outcome for both me and Linda. I wanted Rose to have her rightful father whoever that may be but I want mine to also have their rightful father. Then Andy stumbled in, snapping me from my thoughts.

"I haven't felt so dead since I broke Barry's guitar" Andy said

"What? Is that where that went?" Barry asked

Andy just slumped down on the bed and collapsed into a laying position.

"Andy have you improved?" I asked

He shook his head. I walked over to him and put my hand against his forehead. He was so hot i thought I could fry chips on his forehead.

"He's burning up, I think we should get him to a doctor" I said turning to the other three

"I'm fine" Andy moaned

I glanced to him, his eyes half open in a dazed look and his mouth hanging open like a dogs does when they are hot. With one glance I knew he needed help.

"Get him to a doctor" I informed the others

They took him down to the doctors while I stayed with Rose. That moment when she was crying opened my eyes to the struggles of parenthood. I knew i wouldn't be capable of it but with Maurice by my side I realised anything was possible. But it was taking away my innocence, my youth. Everything id ever known Maurice took away. But I will never stop loving him.
