The pool

"You'll take the fire ladder and communicate with me over your earpeace. Don't mess it up!" Mycroft warned , checking on my uniform once more.
I trained with the team for almost nine hours per day to get in form,  and two more with Mycroft in the shooting range. He was very impressed with my coordination and promised not to glue my ass to the office. A very good turn of events if you ask me.

"I won't. You made sure that i'm fit, even let me sleep for an hour. What could possibly go wrong?" it was my attempt to brighten the mood, but Mycroft wouldn't have it. He took this way to serious.

"Don't shoot him. If you think it's save ,try to distract the other Hitman. But most importantly, keep in touch." i nodded again and wiggled my left hand into my glove. This was good. And it could be great if everything went according to plan.
But with Sherlock? You never know.

"Good. Now go and check your surrounding. Tell me if you're settled." finally! Grabbing my bag i left the car and started to jog around the building. We were early but there was already a big black car behind some trees. Moriarty arrived.

Pressed the button on my watch i let Mycroft know. He told me to go on Position and wait.

And so i did. Laying on the wet roof for almost two hours i observed. But there was nothing. No shadow on the roof, no person in the pool and not a single noise. Almost like that guy outsmarted us.
Well, he probably did, Mycroft said he's the most dangerous man in England.

"Sherlock is arriving." i startled a little but managed to hold my breath. The door of the pool slammed shut rather loudly and a second later i saw Sherlock. He was holding something in his hand.
"They used the fire ladder, watch out." oh great , let the fun begin!

I crouched a little down to have a better view of the scene but a movement on the other side of the roof caught my attention. It was a little group , just like Mycroft assumed and all of them kneeled in a weird position. They were communicating with sign language.
"John is wearing a bomb west. It's active. The Sniper are unaware of my presence."

John was talking garbage now, getting Sherlock some more frustrated then ever. And Mycroft didn't answer. I guess John being involved wasn't planned. At least there was no mention of it in the file.

"....or are you just pleased to see me?" the new voice caught my attention. This must be Moriarty, i thought and i watched the man walk out of the shadows.
Sherlock raised his gun at him, not even hesitating and i wondered what this situation was about. He didn't want to kill him , so why the gun?

"Jim Moriarty, hiiiiii."
Moriarty sounded amused and the last part was awfully familiar, it reminded me of Jim when i first met him. My house mate Jim. The Jim that asked me all these weird questions just three days ago. And the same Jim who's standing in front of Sherlock now, with a psychopathic smirk on his lips.

It only took a couple of seconds for me to connect the dots. I was so fucked.

"Shit." I whispered quietly and tried to think of an out. There was no way that i would point my riffle at his head. Even as criminal! He would probably kill me in my sleep.

My earpiece crackled to life and Mycroft was checking about the situation. I totally forgot to tell him that John actually wanted to kill himself for Sherlock. Or that Jim's hitman are pointing their guns at Sherlock. How long did I zone out this time?

"Help him, NOW!" oh gods , Mycroft was yelling. And i didn't know what to do. "Solar!"

Fighting with my priority's i gave in and pointed my riffle at Jim's head. He didn't even move.

"Target in sight, sir." there was no answer and for a second i thought about chickening out. This was a bloody mess. Sebastian was probably kneeling on the other side of the roof , pointing his own riffle at Sherlock or John until one of the two geniuses decided how to continue. And they definitly wouldn't kill each other. They were just playing a game, right?

I didn't have to think about it any longer, one of Jims sniper already made a decision because a barrel of a handgun was pressed to the back of my head. It was somehow relieving, but still not good. I would probably end up in a ditch.

"Drop it." it was an unspoken threat but perfectly clear.

I took my riffle down.

"Just kill me, i can't face my boss after this desaster anyways." it was the truth, Mycroft would never send me on a mission again, or lock me in my office, or kick me out. I just disappointed all of them. But especially Sherlock.

"Solar?"

"Yah?" i turned around , a little confused until i noticed two things. The man knew my name, and the gun was gone.

"How could you kno.- oh." it was Sebastian. "i knew you're here. You're Jims right hand man."

"Yes..., i'm sorry." i was surprised about his honesty. He looked so worried and confused at once, exaclty how i felt. "Me too. I didn't want to do this, but Mycroft yelled at me and i was overhelmed with the amount of information."

"So what do you think?" i glanced back at the scene. Jim already left and Sherlock was making sure that John was okay. But there wasn't an order yet.

"You're criminals. You kill people." the thought made my stomach flip. "Is that the reason why you were kind to me? Because i'm a source?"

"No! Jim has his own contacts, he doesn't need you." Well, at least something was true. But it couldn't change the situation.

"Lets talk about it tomorroe. You need to punch me now." i sat up a little more and gestured to my face. Sebastians expression was priceless.

"I'm not going to hurt you."

"You have to. I already fucked up a great deal, i need a reason as to why i couldn't guard Sherlock." he sighted loudly and turned around. His men were already leaving.

"Broken nose and some bruises." Sebastian mumbled and there was no time for me to complain. He was all over me in a blink.

"Shit." my nose was bleeding all over my clothes. And the bruises bleed, too. He definitly wasn't holding back. "I'm sorry. I need to leave now." i nodded but didn't say anything. I felt tired and it hurt.

"What are you waiting for, we're leaving?" Mycroft snapped into my ear. He was angry.

So many problems at once!

I grabbed my stuff weirdly and made my way down. This would end in a weird interrogation. If i didn't have a concussion, of course. I felt quiet dizzy.

"What the hell happened?" someone yelled. I felt an arm around my back and i assumed it to be John. "Don't know. This guy pressed a gun to my head and beat me." it was almost the whole truth, so who cares? "I'm dizzy."

"I'll call someone. Help her into the car."
