~2 Weeks Later~
The sun shine bright through the spaces in the wood of the cabin as I awoke. I had grown accustomed to the noisy atmosphere of the place every morning, so it was weird waking up to complete silence.
Cautiously, I walked outside only to find it deserted. The only person there was Max, casually sleeping against the cabin wall.
Not wanting to wake him, I walked quietly past him. Then I felt a hand lightly touch my leg.
"You thought I was asleep?" Max asked from his spot on the ground. Though it was only a slight touch, I felt jittery, almost like my heart took flight. He was hot, but did I really like him that much?
"No. I knew you were up," I lied.
"Sure." His tone was very drawn out and sarcastic.
I stood there like a stupid idiot. I was completely hopeless when it came to guys.
"Anyway, I'm leaving. I couldn't leave without telling you or you'd have a heart attack." Max looked at me as I might have a breakdown. Obviously, he doesn't know me.
"Why do you think that?" He stared at me in disbelief.
                              "You know what? Forget it."
"When will you be back?" My voice had a bit more concern than I had wanted.
                              "I don't know."
No matter how concerned I felt, I knew I couldn't change him mind. "Ok."
And with that, he got up and gave me a slight nod before walking off.

"Cassia! Hey! Have you seen Max?"
I turned to find Meredith walking towards me. "Yeah. I have." There was sadness in my voice.
"What happened?" she asked me, worriedly.
"Oh. Nothing. He just left this morning with no explanation."
"Oh. don't get too worked up over it. He'll come back."
"If you say so." I turned back around a walked off into the forest. I needed some time to just think about what my life had become.
I sat in a low, sturdy branch of a tree. I killed my brother. I left our house, because no one was left. I met this curious bunch of people. I ran into a hot guy named Max. I have a crush on him. I have a friend named Meredith. Max left. Now I'm...here?
My life might be jacked up but it's not as bad as some people's might be.
As I thought, I felt someone watching me. I looked around but found no one. Then I saw him. It was the guy with that strawberry blond hair and tan skin. The murderous look had disappeared though. He almost looked kind.
I jumped down from my branch.
                              "Hi," I said hesitantly.
"Do I know you?" he asked in a venomous tone.
"Not really," I told him, shying away.
He stepped closer to me. His face taking an even calmer expression. I reached up to my neck where I knew I would find the scar he had caused a month or so back. He noticed, too.
"I'm sorry. I don't mean to hurt you. I had been hunting someone that hurt my family and me. I believe he said his name was Josh." Josh? As in Alpha? Could it be? I decided to keep it to myself, though.
                              "I-it's ok."
                              "The name's Trey."
                              "Cassia."
"Nice to meet you." He held out his hand for me to shake. I took it, but instead of shaking my hand, he ran off, pulling me deeper into the forest, laughing.
When we stopped about 15 minutes later, Trey and I fell on the in a fit of giggles.
"Something seems familiar about you," he told me. I took a closer look at him and realized he did too. The way my laughter came so easily when I was around him just seemed like something else I had experienced.
                              "You too."
"You're name. Where did you live as a child?"
                              "East of the mountains. Why?"
                              "I-I did too."
Wait a second. Trey sounded like someone I used to know, almost like a childhood friend. I used to hang out with a guy named Trey. I glanced at the present Trey bye looked just like my childhood Trey, just a bit older.
"You..." I said and I sprung forward and threw my arms around him. "Trey!"
He seemed to remember by the way I said his name. "I thought I'd lost you. When Ethan came and stole you from me, I thought all was lost. Here we are now though..."
"I had no idea where you went once Ethan first approached me. It was like you disappeared. I'm sorry."
"Well, none of that matters now. Where is he anyway?"
I looked down before replying with, "Dead."
                              "Who?"
                              "Caleb."
"This is weird. You're the one with all the answers this time."
I let myself laugh and before I knew it we were in a fit of uncontrollable laughter.
"I better go back to my camp. Maybe we'll see each other again soon," I said.
"Bye, Cassia." He planted a light kiss on my cheek before walking off.
It was so good to see Trey again. Now I just have to make it through the rest of the day.
