Potions*Regulus Black

Two

September 2nd 1972

"Come on mimi" Celeste shouted from down the hall to the girl trying to flirt with the first boy she seen on the bus. Celeste stomped over and grabbed her by the arm, "let's go".

The two girls found a cabin free on the train and sat down, "I hope I get a good house" said Miranda and Celeste giggled at her friend who was excited even though she knew she would get in that house.

-skip to Hogwarts-
The two girls sat side by side on the bus and on the boats to Hogwarts, and walked side by side up the stairs.

The sorting ceremony felt like it went on forever for Celeste, Miranda was first up and got out right into slytherin and now all Celeste had to do was wait, the names went on,
"Regulus Black"
"Arina carto"
"Cara mitt'l"
"Celeste Avery"

Celeste' heart stopped as she took steps forward and sat down,
"Interesting, Pureblood to the max, very cunning I see, thirst to prove yourself ah I see" the hat stopped for what felt like a year.

"Hufflepuff!" The hat yelled.

Celestes POV:
My room was pretty cool I shared one with coralline Parkinson, we stayed up most the night talking about ourselves and what we want to be if our fathers let us work.

I woke up first 6am, got dressed and headed to breakfast, I was the oldest in my house so I was used to being up the earliest and getting ready before tending to my brothers and sisters.
I walked to the great hall and only a one person in the hall.

There was one boy sitting at the slytherin table So I sat at my table, he looked a little intimidating so I stayed away, just as I began to eat my toast a person sat infront of me and gave me there hand,
"Regulus Black" I nodded and ate my toast and he kept his hand there staring at me, I dropped my toast him not taking the hint and shook his hand then gave him a smile, he sat there in silence
"And your name"
"You'll get it when you need it" I said with a mouthful of toast in my mouth and he looked a little shocked.
"Your not very kind for a Hufflepuff"

The grand hall began to fill up again and soon it was time to go to class, I looked at the time table in my hands, "potions first" I mumbled to myself,
"I have that too" regulus said, he hadn't left..
"Nice" i spoke before picking up my bag and stuffing the paper in and walking out the hall.
The boy following behind me
"Can you please tell me your name Now"
"No"
"Why not"
"I don't know you"
"Yes you do I said my name"
"I don't care"
"Please"
I ignored the boys silly comments and walked into potions,
"Hello miss.Avery how are you haven't seen you in ages"
"I'm good professor slughughorn how you how are you?" I asked being polite,

"Good good thank you take your seats morning mr.black you better be good at potions unlike your father on the other hand" he giggled while holding his plump belly.

And regulus just nodded and sat beside me,
"Hello then miss.Avery"
"Also Celeste I've been meaning to ask how is your mother and your new sibling doing" he smiled
"Great mother is making a great recovery and father decided to name the child Janus" I replied happily yet I was annoyed, mother and father loved having children you could say, there was 6 of us in total me being the only girl filled with brothers,

"What a lovely name for a boy isn't that one of the planets moons?" He asked
"Yes sir one of Saturn's moons"
"Beautiful" he replied.

"Well hello there Celeste Avery"

September 2nd; 1976 -fifth year-

"Why hello there Celeste Avery" regulus said like he did every first day in potions.
"Morning" I hummed and nodded before adding ingredients to my draught of living death.

I wrote down in my journal the correct way to do it as the books make it wrong,
"It said cut" regulus argued
"Crushing makes the juice come out easier"
He rolled his eyes as he watched me do it
"See" I said ducking at a flying sopophorus bean.

"Professor I'm finished " I said raising my hand as professor slughorn walked over and took out a flower before dropping it in,
"It's amazing well done you two well one" he winked at me and regulus rolled his eyes.
"How does it feel being a prefect" I asked regulus
"Oh great what bout you"
"I love giving the slytherins into trouble" I laughed
And he looked concerned,
A lot had changed since first year I was a Hufflepuff seeker, prefect, top student in most classes too Miranda and coralline we're still my friends not so much Miranda she only talks to me when she wants something or in classes  and I only talked to regulus in potions nothing else as I kinda find him annoying.
