It's been a long time since she'd set foot on Konohagakure. Her role as a Kekkei Genkai user pulls her on important missions that revolve around intel gathering, assassinations, or disturbances in foreign countries. She protects Konoha at a hidden, more sinister level, from exceptional threats that are located within and outside of the walls. The sensitive nature of her missions and duties made it difficult for her to be out in the sun.
She's Konoha Ningen Kunoichi, her name twisted into a ghastly supernatural sea monster due to her efforts in the Third Shinobi War. It's because of this that she works in the shadows, for if she remained in the village, it may attract enemies.
At least, that was the case in the past, now the enemy's attention is on something even greater, someone with immense chakra reserves due to a tailed beast sealed within them. They are called Jinchuriki, and Naruto Uzumaki, a Konoha Genin, is one of them.
Following the Third Shinobi World War, the Chunin Exams are now open to all villages and held bi-annually, with villages taking turns hosting the exam. Publicly it symbolizes all the nation's alliances and gives the opportunity for Genin to be promoted to Chunin. These shared exams are meant to improve relationships between the villages, present shinobi to clients, etc. The hidden agenda, on the other hand, could be anything.
Especially with Konoha hosting it this year, with the Jinchuriki and the last surviving Uchiha taking part.

Seven days from today, on the first day of July, the Chunin Exams will begin!
Preparations for the Chunin Exams have already been made, it's now time to round up the Jonin team leaders for a meeting with the Sandaime Hokage, to discuss who will participate in this year's exams. They began with the team leaders of the most recent graduates, surprisingly, all of the rookie Genin are nominated: Team Seven, Team Eight, and Team Ten.
The tan-skin shinobi, Iruka-sensei, speaks up. "This may be presumptuous, but as for the nine names that were given, I was in charge of them at the Academy. Admittedly, they were all students with ability, but it's too soon! They should be tested after having gained more experience!"
"I became a Chunin when I was six years younger than Naruto is now." Kakashi-sensei, the Jonin leader for Team Seven, spoke up. He has spiky silver hair often oriented to his left side, dark grey eyes, his left eye, specifically, is covered with his forehead protector.
"Naruto is different from you! Is your intent to crush Naruto?" Iruka-sensei steps forward, shouting at the Jonin. He's a soft-hearted teacher, with a scar on his nose and cheek, voicing concern over his students.
"They always do nothing but complain about important missions, teaching them a lesson once would be fun. Trying to crush them would be interesting too." Kakashi's emotions are masked by his lazy expression.
"What did you say?!"
"Well, joking aside..." Kakashi isn't worked up at all. Ignoring his fellow classmate's warning, he speaks very bluntly. "Iruka-sensei, I understand what you want to say. It's aggravating, I know. However, they are no longer your students, stay out of this."
The atmosphere grew tense and troublesome. What Kakashi has said is true, but he completely ignores the sensitivity in this situation. Iruka-sensei is challenging their decision because he cares about his students and believed they were not ready for the exam.
