A total of two days passed, and Neji meditated for 48 hours. Peering his eyes open, he looks at the timer on his lap, to see that the twenty-four hours were over a long time ago. He smirks at the outcome, pleased to have passed the required time set by the pale-hair woman.

He kneels, pulling his body upright. It's then he notices the grass he sat on. It's fresh and warm, while the grass around him is covered in a thin layer of ice. With a dry throat, his eyes began to scan the area. Cold wind surrounded the area, if he stepped outside of his spot, his skin would sting.

The brown-skin kunoichi sat in a crossed position, her eyes closed. She's meditating, with the small owl-Shin, on her right shoulder. Neji is quick to open his third sight, unlike the times he analyzed her, a heavy chakra flow is passing through her system, evenly emitted to her surroundings in a sort of misty terrain. The mist is perfectly controlled, avoiding Neji's body. Before he could look into it further, her chakra flow slows down, the thin layers of frost melting.

"That's amazing! Is this what you are going to teach me?" Neji utters his eyes, reverting back to normal.

Hanai blinks, not expecting to see the kid so excited. "The concept, yes."

"Huh? But then why do you..." Neji couldn't help but wonder.

"If I don't lower my chakra flow, my skin will drastically be below zero temperature, which will cause my surroundings to freeze," she says brightly, like if she didn't reveal a scary scenario. "You, on the other hand, are completely normal." Neji sweatdrops as she blankly speaks out his normalness, she says it very neutral, making Neji wonder if it's a compliment or not. "Basically, I will be teaching you about chakra points."

"I'm well aware of what they are," Neji says, eyes narrowing.

"Neji-kun do you want me to train you or not?" Hanai groans, for the past three weeks Neji has been very difficult to work with. It took two weeks to convince him how vital meditation is regarding his fighting style, and it took Neji one whole week to master it. "The exams resume next week."

"I am aware, but so far your training has been useless!" Neji barks

Hanai's eyes grew tense, arms crossed as she glares down at the kid. "Then what the hell did you expect me to teach you? Taijutsu, Gai-sensei is the master at that. It's not my fault you got yourself in trouble for letting the Hyuuga matters interfere in the Exams. Ninjutsu? Don't make me laugh, we don't even have the same Kekkei Genkai."

Neji sinks, eyebrows furrowed. She has known all this time that the only reason Neji had asked her to train is because Gai-sensei refuses to mentor him. He stays awfully quiet, unable to answer her.

"If you ever do wish to resume our supplementary training, I'll be here. Till then, I wish you luck in your fight against Naruto."

In the end, Neji never sought her out. She spends the rest of her days signing papers for the Chunin Exams, Dosu had dropped out, so new match-ups had to be finalized.  As Chief, she also manages the ANBU teams, from her Division, that are assigned to search for Sasuke. She has an inkling that Sasuke is with Kakashi, she hasn't seen the silver-shinobi either. Kakashi is a retired ANBU, so he knows the ins and outs of how they work and can easily avoid them.
