18 Biyu's story

And the lady's confession film began:

Hello, my beautiful, smart, my dearest son! I love you so much and miss you so, so much!

I'm probably dead by the time you watch this film, and I apologize for that. But it's no surprise there, as you already know that I'm not capable of doing anything right, not even to stay alive for a longer time to see you one more time and take a proper goodbye from you.
Oh how I'd have wished  to see you one last time, before dying.
But, I know that I didn't deserve that.

Well, let's get to the main point, after telling you one last time that I love you very much, that you, my son, were the only reason keeping me alive through so many years of pain...until now...

This is, in short, the life story of a girl called Biyu, born in a poor family of Asian immigrants and made overnight a shining star by a talent scout who will later become not only Biyu's manager, but also her loving husband.

Xiao Wei was not Biyu's first love, but she had a college sweetheart with whom she was crazily in love, but who broke her naive heart, with just simply vanishing in thin air, without a word, at the end of the studies years.
Biyu's husband showered her with so much love and attention, that she was able to forget about her lost, painful love.

Biyu was extremely happy, with a flourishing singing career and a marriage filled with love and care, but there still was one single thing shading her happiness: no matter how hard they tried, Biyu and her husband, for some incomprehensible reasons, couldn't conceive children. Incomprehensible reasons, because the medical tests showed no problems to any of them.

Anyways, in 1990, Biyu's manager and husband arranged for her to go on a "grand world tour", along with lots of other famous artists.
About what I'm going to tell you next, it happened after the last concert of the tour, that took place in Paris.
Biyu was about to go to sleep, after showering and drinking a glass of champagne to celebrate the tour's ending, when someone knocked on her hotel room's door.

She got a major shock when she opened the door: the person standing nonchalantly in the frame of the door was none other than Zan(a/n: Chinese male name, meaning "help, support"), her forgotten college lover!
Biyu decided to act normal like two friends meeting after a long time would act, so she invited him inside and drank together the rest of the champagne.

You know how things are, one thing led to another and the next thing you know they were...
Don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean that Biyu didn't love her husband. She did and actually still does, but...Zan...was a painful, yet dear memory, suddenly coming alive.
Biyu got another major shock that night. After having sex with him, Zan started to act like an asshole he never was in the past, calling her a whore and even trying to get violent on her.
After she kicked him out of her room, she was afraid to remain alone, so she went to the hotel's bar.
Feeling hurt and upset, she drank a few glasses of strong alcohol, before calling her husband to confess what she did.
Like a stupid woman she was, instead of listening to her lovely husband's advise to just get another room and go to sleep because she was drunk, she hooked up with the first handsome man she laid her eyes on...After all, Zan might have been right calling her a whore!
It was a young Chinese man, who left his phone number on the nightstand, Biyu didn't even know his name.
All in all, after this Paris adventure, or better calling it as a nightmare, Biyu's life was ruined.
It's not like her lovely husband didn't forgive her, he actually begged her to not leave the marriage, but such a wonderful man as Wei is, deserves better than a whore!
Biyu accepted for Xiao Wei's agency to keep managing her career, only for one reason, to not embarrass her son with a jobless mom without any income.
Because the Paris nightmare had a happy outcome, too, besides the ugly sides: Biyu got pregnant after having sex with those two men, and gave birth to the little wonder that it's you, my precious Zhan Zhan.
Xiao Wei didn't care who was the man who conceived you, he considered himself your real father, from the first moment he was informed of the pregnancy. Such a wonderful man he is, Biyu really didn't deserve him!
