Rudr's POV

Only two days left for my surgery still she didn't call... Yet I didn't let my hope go... She will call me, she has to, she can't forget her promise, she will not, right?...

Who will I ask this? Who is there to answer me?... I feel so lonely... Vishnu is avoiding me, he is angry at me, and I don't blame him for that, it's my fault...

"Come back to me Ammu... I miss you" I whispered and inhaled the beautiful fragrance of jasmine flowers bloomed around me and closed my eyes.

"I missed you too..." Said someone hugging me from my back, I smiled hearing that voice but realized this too is my thought, she is not here.

"You are mad at me..." Came her voice again and I got confused.
'Is this real? Is she here?... No, my mind is playing with me...'

"You are not real, this is all my thoughts..." I said.

I felt her removing her arms from me...

"I am real Rudr... I am back," I heard her voice again and felt her hands cupping my face.

Her breath was brushing on my lips... Our foreheads were joined...

"You are back?"

"Yes I am," she said and rubbed her nose on mine...

'She is back!!!'

"You are back..." I whispered and pulled her close by her waist and kissed her lips.

I placed my head on her shoulder and hugged her close...

"You are back..."

"Yes, I am Rudr... How can I forget my promise..." She said.

"Why did you leave me? I thought you will never come... Vishnu said it's because of me... If...if I was being a jerk then you could have told me... Why this running away... It hurts Ammu... Please don't do this again..."

"Oh, Rudr... It's not you... It's not your fault... I wish I could tell you, but...but not now..."

"Tell me what?..."

"Do you trust me?"

"Yes, of course I do..." I said joining our forehead.

"Then don't ask anything now, when the time comes I will say everything. But for now, you have to promise me one thing that you will not blame yourself for anything..."

"Ok... I promise..." I said and she kissed my temple, cheeks, nose, and lips.

"Wow, is there anything else that I have to promise..."

"Shuuu..." She slapped lightly on my hands and hugged me in embarrassment.

"I wish I could see your face now... That shy red tomato when I tease you..."

"Hmm..." She just hummed.

"But don't worry just 2 more days to go... I will tease you every time just to see you blushing.

"Hmm..." Again she hummed.

'What is with this humming?'

"Ammu?"

"Mm?"

"Are you sad coming back here?"

"No no... Why would I be? I am happy Rudr... I am so happy to be with you..." She said and I cupped her face, her tears touched my palm...

"Why are you crying Ammu?... What happened?"

'What is she hiding from me?..'

"Nothing... Please hug me Rudr..." She said and hugged me tightly... I too hugged her.

"It's ok baby... Whatever it is we will solve it together... Your Rudr will always be with you..." I said but that made her cry more. She started to hiccup...

"Shh shh... Don't cry... I am here naah..."

"Rudr?"

"Yes Ammu, do you want anything?"

"Yes... Can we... Can we both go somewhere for these two days?.... Just you and me?"

"Of course baby... I would love that..."

"Me too," she said and kissed my cheeks.

"Where do you want to go?"

"Just a calm place, close to nature... I want to spend every moment in your arms..."

"You will, my love, I know a place like that... "

"Then let's go... I don't want to waste a minute..." She said holding my hand.

"We will live together forever Ammu..." I said and we went inside to make arrangements for our travel.
