Authors POV

Vishnu reached home before Rudr, and was nervous about what to tell his brother.

He called Nithya and enquired about how Ammu is doing. But he could only hear Nithya's crying as Durga didn't allow anyone inside yet.

Nithya knows why Durga is doing that but she doesn't want to leave her sister alone in this battle. Vishnu tried to console her, but he couldn't.

In the evening Vishnu was walking to and fro in the garden away from everyone, thinking all this. Prithvi and Jagath saw this but didn't ask anything as they thought maybe it is some trouble in paradise.

Rudr was eager to finish his work and come home, thinking, she will call him today and they have to talk a lot... He came home earlier than usual.

"Mamma did Vishnu come" asked Rudr to Jeena.

"Yeah he did, I think he is in the garden." Said Jeena giving him a cup of coffee.

"Ok mamma, did Ammu called you today?"

"No, she didn't, I asked Vishnu and he said she is staying with her parents for some days."

"Yes she is"

"I don't like it though, how can her parents be separated from her for all these years. They have done this before too..."

"Mamma, there is a reason which we don't know. So don't assume things."

"Then tell me why did they let a 6-year-old child roam alone in the middle of a night!!! Don't try to rectify me Rudr, because I am right, they don't deserve her love."

"I am tired of explaining this to you"

"You will not understand this until you become a parent, no mother in this world can do that and yet her mother did it, I didn't carry Ammu in my womb still I love that child like mine. I can't see tears in her eyes. All these years I prayed for her to come back. But what about her mother?..."

"Mamma let's drop this topic, I am going to see Vishnu." Said Rudr and went to the garden.

Vishnu was deep in thoughts when Rudr came near him, Prithvi and Jagath were also there discussing tonight's party at their friends' house.

"Vishnu bhai, are you coming, it will be so fun, maybe it will change your mood too." Said Jagath.

"No yaar, I am not in a mood"

"Ohh come on... It's been a long time since we went to a party... Come on bhai..." Said Jagath shaking Vishnu.

"Jaggu can you please stop it!!" Said Vishnu angrily pushing Jagath "I am not coming means I am not coming... Understand!!!"

"Ok fine, why are you shouting?" Asked Jagath looking at his brother strangely.

Vishnu didn't say anything and looked away from them.

"Vishnu, how is Ammu's family." Asked Rudr.

"Good," he said looking away.

"Is she happy there?"

"Yes"

"What happened to her phone? It is switched off... I tried to call her many times. Do you know her mother's number?"

"Why? Why do you want to call her bhai? Didn't I tell you she is staying with her parents? Why are you being selfish!! She has her own life, if she didn't call you means, she is busy with her life.
She will call you when she remembers about you. It's her choice, why are you trying to invade her personal space bhai?...
Yes, you got her back now but that doesn't mean you can cage her for your benefit.
When she remembers you she will call you, if not then she will not. It depends on her, you are no one to change it..." Vishnu had no idea what he is saying, he just wanted his brother to stop asking about Ammu. But in that process, he is hurting Rudr, while keeping his word to his sister.
