Chapter 40

Rudr’s POV

I didn’t have the courage to face her, I felt responsible for everything. My brothers and parents said me several times to go talk to her but I just couldn’t do that. I watched her from afar without her noticing me. Whenever we are in the same room I walked away from there… I knew what I am doing is not right, but I can’t help myself my guilt was eating me alive and when I see her face it increased to a level that I couldn’t tolerate myself.

But when I heard that she is going away, I lost it… How can I let her go away again, this is my last and final chance to get her back…

Thinking this I went to her room but I was lost when I came out of that room leaving her for what she wanted…

She wanted to be away from me, she didn’t want me in her life anymore… I can’t be selfish and force her to be mine…

I lost my Ammu… maybe she is right, we were never meant to be together… this was all just the play of our destiny…

I didn’t want to see her leaving me, so I left without saying anything to anyone, I went to my farmhouse where we had our beautiful memories, where we dreamed about having our family…

Everything was a beautiful dream, I couldn’t see her face at that time, but now, when I think about the days we spend here, I can see what was I missing and what I am going to miss from now on…

I pictured my whole life with that one girl and… and… she is gone… what am I supposed to do now… she said I will get my life, career and everything back…

But how is that possible when she is my everything?

Why did she do it?... Was leaving me the only option she had?...

“Son, when did you came, you didn’t inform me, where is Ammu?” asked Prakash uncle happily walking toward the house.

The only thing I could do was cry in front of this man… I cried hugging him. He was shocked by seeing me like this.

“What happened, son? Why are you crying?”

“She… she left me uncle… my Ammu left me, she doesn’t want me…”

“What are you saying? Did you two got into a fight?”

“It’s not like that Uncle…”

“Rudr…” I heard someone else calling me.

“What are you guys doing here?” I asked seeing dad and my brothers.

“That’s what we have to ask you Rudr, what the hell are you doing here?” asked dad.

“Kiran, what is he saying? He said she left him” asked Prakash uncle to dad.

“He is a grown-up man Prakash he has to solve his own fucking problem, if she left him then I can only blame him… “

“What do you guys expect me to do? She said she didn’t want me in her life!!”

“Bhai, she said it and you believed it!! You know how selfless she is!!” said Vishnu.

“Bhai she loves you, she can never hate you… she just needs some time to overcome everything and without you, she can’t do that,” Prithvi said.

“We gave her permission to leave thinking that maybe you will block her or you will go with her and you both can have your own time to talk out everything… But what did you do? You ran away from there like a coward…” said Dad.

“Dad I didn’t know what to do, you have to understand me too… I was not in a good position to think all this, when I knew she didn’t want me I lost it… my whole life I thought about a life with her and knowing that she didn’t want me anymore broke me… what else do you expect me to do other than this.”
