Chapter 3

Rudr's POV.

I was sitting in my room reading the emails about our new business projects.

You must be wondering how can a blind man like me can read, right?

Well, then my answer will be, I am proud of my brother...

Not that monkey Jaggu, he is the carbon copy of Vishnu... two lazy monkeys...

I am talking about the other one... Prithvi... He is an Electronic engineer and this device, he invented for me was his last year project in college.

Now it's available in the market launched by a branch of our company managed by Prithvi.

It helps me with everything... They are like my eyes... I can't see but this device gives me information about everything and anything.

Like persons standing beside me, food in front of me, it can read for me... I can do anything by myself with the help of it, I don't need anyone else's help for doing my things.

And because of this, no one believes that I am blind... I am like a normal person... can talk to others looking in their eyes. My brother is a genius and I am so proud of him.

And if you ask how my life is going, then, It's going ok... I think...

As usual, Vishnu is my right hand, Jaggu is in his final year, enjoying his life...

Oh, I forgot to say something... Do you remember Malu... our Jaggu's girlfriend Malavika?...

Well, now she is his ex, as she got another handsome boy than our Jaggu... and that drama king cried for a week and slept with me saying, his crying face is so ugly and everyone teases him for that, and as I am blind I will not tease him... Idiot...

Anyway, that whole week was a Shivratri for me...

My ears got busted by hearing his cries...

"Bhaii how could she do this to me... and that moron Sid is not even handsome as me, still she loves him... what is that in him which is not in me?... look at my face... oh sorry you can't see... ok then, I am sure you remember my handsome face right... and now I have beard and mustache too and I am a super hot handsome men... still she left me... I stood with her like a lovesick puppy but she... she made me a stray dog... Bhaii I can't take this pain..."

God that boy nearly killed me with all his cries... haha...

'Your mom is staring at you' said my earpiece...

Mom... She is still sad about my condition... I am trying to forget what happened and trying to cope with all these, accepting the truth but she... she is not ready...

I sighed closing my lap "Mamma stop staring and come sit beside me..." I said to her looking in the direction of the door.

"I was just admiring my handsome son..." said mamma and sat beside me caressing my hair.

I laid on the bed placing my head on her lap closing my eyes

"Rudr..."

"Hmm?"

"I came here to talk about something... will you listen to me?" asked mamma

"Mamma, did I ever ignore you? No, naah? tell me, what is it?" I asked

"It's... mm... Baby... How long are you going to stay like this? Don't you need anyone in your life?" asked mamma.

"Hmm... mamma how many times I told you I am okay alone... I don't want anyone in my life... I don't want to push one more soul into my darkness..." I sat sitting up.

"But Rudr... the doctor said this is not permanent... you will get your vision back baby..."

"Mamma... it only has 50 % chance... how can I ruin another life for a fake belief... and you know I can't think about any girl other than my Ammu... I already accepted her as my better half mamma... it doesn't matter if she is with me or not... I will love her till my last breath..."

"Then why are you not letting us find her?" asked mamma

"Ok, if I let you then what mamma? Do you think I will be that much selfish... maybe she doesn't even remember me... maybe she has someone else in her life now... we both were children back then mamma and I am not sure if she even remembers my name..." I said sadly

"Ok... we will not try to find her... but that doesn't mean you have to be single forever... you like it or not, I am going to find a bride for you... who knows if she can bring light to your life..."

"Mamma... no... I will not agree with this..."

"A few minutes back you said you will never ignore my wishes and what are you saying now?" asked mamma crying "I can't see you like this Rudr... just try baby... try to forget everything and start a new page in life... No one is perfect in this world... everyone has their flaws, but that doesn't mean they want to bury their happiness because of their fate..."

Here comes the emotional blackmailing...

"Mamma... do you think any girl out there wants a blind man? Every girl has their wishes and dreams about how their partner has to be and no one will ever dream about a blind man being their better half..."

"Rudr... what if there is someone out there who loves your soul not your physical appearance? son, true love doesn't need perfection... true loves comes from flaws... if a person loves us irrespective of our flaws then that's love... and I am sure that, the one for you is waiting out there somewhere for you baby... and when you get her in your arms do love her flaws too and never let her go from you... if you didn't accept her flaws, then... there is no use for your life... you will be in darkness forever..." said mamma hugging me and left...

I really hope... the one waiting out there for me is my Ammu... But she having any flaws is not possible... she is perfect in every way... even if she is imperfect then we both can make a perfect us...
