The best Jedi

Hunter is especially on edge today. You're not sure why, but are trying to find out. "Hunter?" You ask. "Yes." You pause for a moment. "What's on your mind?" You ask. "Crosshair. The Empire." He says with a grim look on his face. "It's okay. Look, you are the leader of Clone Force 99. Crosshair knows he can't beat you all alone." He smiles at you. "Thanks, Mesh'la." You nod and sit against the wall. Omega eagerly walks in. "Hello! What's our next mission?" You smile at her. "Another delivery to the Syndulla family. Pretty easy." She grins. You know she and Hera are friends. "Hunter, can we make the jump?" Echo says. Hunter gives his nod and you launch into space.

This time you're landing on Ryloth. Hera eagerly waits for Omega and when she gets off the ship they hug. You can see Hunter is hiding a smile. "Oh, just admit it." You smirk. "What?" He says, ignoring you. "You love seeing Omega happy. Making a new friend. You're like her father." He bites his lip. "Well, I mean... I don't want to see her sad!" You laugh. "Whatever, Bandana." You were on Ord Mantell with Cid on the last supply run, so you didn't get to meet the Syndulla family. You had heard all about it from Omega, though. Hera walks over to the rest of the squad as her uncle collects the weapons. She then notices you and gasps. "A Jedi?" You nod. "I- I've never seen one before! Just heard stories." Hunter squeezes your shoulder. "Not just any Jedi. The best Jedi." He winks at you.

You're having to be cautious with Crosshair. He's left Ryloth, but that doesn't mean you can't get caught. Hera and Omega play in the ship while Tech prepares another lesson about ships for the kids. Echo is making repairs from your last encounter with Crosshair. Wrecker is currently 'watching the kids' which is just his excuse for playing with them. You and Hunter are in his room. He's looking at his armor and helmet. "I sense fear and anger in you." You say. He sighs. "I know, Y/N. Just... Tarkin. I know it was him. It wasn't Crosshair." You walk closer to him. "It's okay. Plus, I'm a Jedi. Tarkin's gotta be afraid of me." You tease. "Yeah. The best Jedi." He says, kissing you on your forehead.

Once Tech is done with his lecture and Hera and Omega's eyes are glazed over, you call them over. Hera has been eyeing your lightsaber today and you know she's wanting to ask things about it. "Master Y/N..." She starts. You laugh lightly. "It's okay, guys. Just call me Y/N." She looks a little embarrassed. "Uh, sorry... I was just wondering... what can the Force do? And what about lightsabers?" The kids look at you eagerly, and you can sense Hunter behind you. "Well." You start. "The Jedi always tell you, 'your lightsaber is your life'. But it is also your responsibility. They are very powerful, but should not be your solution to everything. They are made out of Kyber Crystals, found in ancient Jedi temples." Hera's eyes light up. "I've heard about those!" You continue. "Now, for the Force, it is your most powerful ally. It can be used in a good, or not so good way. Lots of people believe that only Jedi can wield the Force, but it's not an object. It's an energy field that surrounds us and all living things." Hunter comes closer to you. "I think Tech is jealous of your lesson." He chuckles.

You continue with your lesson, and at the end Omega says, "Can you show us something with the Force?" You nod. You gently lift Hera and Omega into the air. They both squeal in excitement. You set them down on the ground. "That was incredible!" Hera says. You smile. "Hera!" You can hear her uncle call. She frowns and hugs Omega, walking out the door. Wrecker comes over. "Can you lift me?" You bite your lip. "Well, Wrecker... I mean..." He drops his jaw. "C'mon! Fine. Fine." He walks away and tells Echo who rolls his eyes. "That was impressive, Jedi." Hunter says. "Thanks." You walk into the cockpit and Echo reaches his hand out. "Hey Tech? Can you pass me that wrench?" Tech sighs. "For the last time, Echo. I'm working on my droid poppers." You grab the wrench with the Force and hand it to Echo. "Oh. Uh, thanks, Y/N." You nod. "Best Jedi." Hunter whispers.
