Summary: The Bad Batch & Y/N go on a mission to find out the location of Y/N's master.

Note:
*L/N = Favorite/Chosen Jedi master's name in this chapter.
**This chapter ends on a cliffhanger. I wanted to write more, but I also know I haven't updated in a while and I wanted to give you guys something.

"Hey. Y/N. You need to wake up."

You open your eyes. Hunter is standing at the end of the bed.

Oh right... the mission.

"How were you so quiet this morning? I thought I would've heard you getting ready."

"You were deep asleep. Not surprisingly. It's hours before even you wake up."

You yawn. "Remind me why we have to get up so early?"

"The person we have a lead on about your Master arrives at their base today. Early."

Tech has been helping you see if your Master is alive or not. And if they are, you're looking for places they could be.

You get up slowly and walk over to your belongings, picking out some clothes for the day. You put on black pants and sturdy boots that you can run in. You put on a short sleeve shirt and then put on your jacket, decorated with patches. Over the years, you've collected patches for your jacket from all around the galaxy. Some of them you've made, however, like your patch that has "99" on it. Finally, you put on your necklace with the symbol of the Jedi Order. You tuck it under your shirt, knowing that you'll have to keep hiding it for a long time.

You head to the common area. Everyone is standing there, looking particularly groggy.

"It seems that none of us are morning people..." You say slowly, looking over at Tech busily working on the ship. "Well, except for Tech, I suppose."

"I'm neither a morning person nor a 'night owl'." Crosshair speaks up. "I just do what I need to do when I have to get the job done."

Echo rolls his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, Mr. Hero."

Hunter gets himself and you a cup of caf each. It has a vanilla-like aroma. You take a sip of it. It's not as bitter as usual, surprisingly.

"I'm sorry for making all of you get up so early." You say.

"Don't worry, Y/N! We're happy to help!" Wrecker says cheerfully.

"Alright, Tech." Hunter begins. "Take us to the base."

On the way there, it's impossible to sit still. You pace around the ship, thinking about what might happen. Your Master could be dead, missing, or maybe somewhere you've been on a mission, and you missed them while you were there.

"You're pacing."

You turn around and see Hunter. "Oh. Hey."

"Are you worrying about what we might find out?"

You nod. "I'm usually very good at not letting my thoughts take over me because of my training, but it's hard when this is something personal to me."

"I understand." He replies genuinely.

You stop pacing and stand in silence, quietly fidgeting with your hands.

"What was your favorite part of Jedi training?"

You look over at him. "Lightsaber training." You smile, thinking of those memories. "It was difficult, but very rewarding. I remember the feeling I had when I first picked up my lightsaber after building it."
