Just like old times

Note: I am so sorry it has taken me so long to update this! I feel like any time I get a chance to work on it I end up getting busy again lol.

You wake up before Hunter today. It's very early. You aren't sure you're up. Trying not to wake him, you slowly and as quietly as possible get out of bed. You stretch your arms and tip toe towards the door.
"You know, you aren't the only one with special senses." Hunter's deep voice says.
"I was trying not to wake you. I guess that's a little bit impossible for both of us." You say.
He chuckles. "Yeah, I guess so. It's early, and I don't think anybody else is up. Come back to bed."
"I guess if I have to..." You laugh.
You walk over to the bed and get under the covers again, this time moving closer to him. Hunter begins to play with your hair.
"You were stealing all of the blankets last night." Hunter states.
"You could've just stolen them back." You say.
"Well, that felt mean to do." He responds.
You both lay there for a while. You shift so that your head is resting on Hunter's chest.
"I was thinking about our first mission together." Hunter says.
"Yeah?" You respond. "What about it?"
"Everyone was suspicious of you. Even me. You slept in the common room on our gonk droid, and Wrecker kept teasing me about liking you which I kept denying." He says.
"And now we're here." You say softly, holding one of his hands.
"And now we're here." He repeats.
"We should probably get some more sleep before we need to wake up." You suggest.
"Good idea." Hunter responds.
You close your eyes and try to get some more sleep.

You wake up again a few hours later. It's still pretty early, but you do feel much more rested. You already know that Hunter woke up too as you get out of bed.
"I'll be back." You say, leaving the room.
You know how Hunter likes his caf, so you prepare his as well as yours. Tech is standing nearby.
"Tech?" You say quietly, trying not to wake the others.
"Yes?" He responds.
"Do we have a mission today?" You ask.
Tech shakes his head. "Not that I am aware of."
"Thank you." You respond, heading back to Hunter's room.
You press the button with your elbow to open the door since you're using both hands to carry the cups of caf. The cups are filled close to the top, so you carefully walk through his room. You hand Hunter his cup. He takes a sip.
"Did you know that Crosshair drinks his caf without anything in it? No bantha milk, no sugar, nothing." Hunter says.
You laugh. "That doesn't surprise me."
You two lay there for a while.
"Tech told me we don't have a mission today. I have an idea of something we can do tonight." You smile.
Hunter turns towards you. "Yeah? What is it?"
"Do you remember that mission where I had to pretend to be your wife? At that restaurant where you kissed me?" You say.
Hunter laughs softly. "I remember."
"I was thinking that we could go there for dinner tonight." You suggest.
Hunter looks suspicious. "With the entire squad?"
"No, no." You reassure him. "Just the two of us."

After a few hours of helping fix things around the ship and playing games with Omega, you start to get ready for your date with Hunter tonight. You can sense Hunter entering his room where you are.
"I'm not ready yet, Hunter." You say as you start to put on your shoes.
"When did you get that dress?" Hunter asks.
"Don't worry, I used my own credits to get it." You reassure him.
He shakes his head. "That's not what I was asking. I was just going to say that you look really nice."
You smile. "Thanks. It still feels weird wearing civilian clothes. Normal clothes." 
"I guess it would be pretty hard to fight in those shoes you're wearing." Hunter comments.
You look over at the side of the room where your boots are. They're completely different from the shoes you're wearing now. 
"Yeah." You say.
You finish putting on your shoes and hide the charm on your necklace. It has the symbol of the Jedi Order on it, and you don't want to risk people finding out you're a Jedi. 
"Are you ready?" Hunter asks. 
You nod and follow him to exit the ship. 

You and Hunter hold hands as you walk towards the restaurant. 
"I wonder if they'll still have the couples discount like last time." You laugh.
"That was one of the best missions I've been on." Hunter smiles, thinking of the past. 
You giggle. "Yeah, because you got to kiss me!"
"I don't regret it." He says.
The sun is starting to set. You two arrive at the restaurant and enter. You made a reservation here earlier to make sure you would get a table. 
"Welcome. Do you have a reservation with us?" The host asks.
"I do. It's under Y/N." You say.
The host checks the list of reservations. "Right this way."
You follow him to a table for the two of you.
"It's a good thing I got a reservation." You begin. "The restaurant is full of people." 
"Thank you for doing this, Y/N. This is very special." Hunter smiles.
"Of course." You reply.
You both order your food and continue talking for a while.

After your food comes to the table, Hunter says, "Do you think that one waitress is still working here?"
"You mean the one who practically interrogated us and demanded proof so we could get a discount?" You laugh.
He nods and laughs as well. "Yep. I guess I should be grateful, it did allow me to kiss you that first time." 
"So you were too scared to do it otherwise?" You tease.
"I wasn't sure how I felt about you." Hunter says.
You raise an eyebrow at him.
He blushes. "Alright, fine, it was obvious that I liked you."
You look around at everything around you and observe the restaurant. "It's incredible to think about how far we've come. I gave you information on Fennec Shand, we found Crosshair..."
"I think you're forgetting something else." Hunter chuckles.
"I know, I know. I wasn't going to leave out the fact that we're dating." You reassure him.
"And after all of what happened, Order 66, getting attacked by the Empire..." He smiles. "Now we're here."
