A Day With Hunter

You wake up to Hunter running his fingers through your hair. You look over at him and see him smiling slightly.
"What are you so happy about?" You ask.
"I heard you talking in your sleep." He replies.
You blush. "W-What was I saying?" 
"Nothing bad, I promise." He chuckles. "Something about lightsabers and rancor."
You think back to the dream you had. "Oh, right. I had a dream where a rancor swallowed my lightsaber." 
"I think you were trying to fight the rancor in the dream after it ate your lightsaber because you kept kicking me." He laughs.
"I can't believe I did that, I'm sorry." You say, embarrassed. 
"Don't apologize. It was cute." He says, smiling. 

You go and take a shower after you get up. The warm water feels nice even though it makes the cuts you got from your last mission sting. After you dry yourself off, you put on the dress that you wore on one of your first missions with Hunter. You see that Hunter, Tech, and Echo are sitting in the cockpit. Hunter looks over at you. 
"You're wearing the dress... from when we did that mission." He says.
"It looks hot outside. I thought it would be a nice change from my really warm clothes." You respond.
Hunter takes a sip of his caf and has a disgusted look on his face. He stands up and looks at his brothers. 
"Who made the caf this morning?" He asks, frustrated.
Echo and Tech look over at Wrecker.
"What?" Wrecker says. "I was estimating!" 
"Well," Hunter says. "You put way too much ground caf in here."
"Sorry..." Wrecker apologizes.
Hunter looks over at you. "Do you want to come get supplies with me?" 
You nod. "I'd like that."

You follow Hunter over to a stand that sells caf drinks. 
"I need something other than that caf earlier..." Hunter mutters. 
He orders himself a caf with no cream or sugar. You hear him order your favorite drink. 
"How did you know that drink is my favorite?" You ask. 
"I just paid attention to whenever your ordered." He says. 
You didn't realize he noticed all the little things that you do. It's nice.
"What do we have to get first?" You ask.
"More rations. Even though we bought them..." He starts. 
"Two days ago." You say, finishing his sentence. 
He smiles at you after you finished his sentence. You two go to the regular place where you buy rations after Hunter pays the vendor for the caf.
"Maybe this time we should buy the ration packs instead of the bars. They're more expensive, but they have more food." You suggest.
"That's a good idea." Hunter says. 
He picks out some ration packs and gives the owner of the shop some credits. 

"Of course Tech needs the most specific part for one of his projects. I don't even know where to find this..." Hunter says, rubbing the bridge of his nose. 
You look at the name of the part. You recognize it from when you helped your master fix some of the ships when you were younger. 
"We can't find this in a junkyard." You say. "But I'm sure we can find it at the specialty parts place over there." 
Hunter follows you over to the shop. You ask the shop owner if he has the part you're looking for.
"Yeah. I got it. Give me a second." He says, going to get it.
He comes back and gives it to you. The part is fairly expensive, but you know that Tech needs it. As you're about to leave, the shop keeper asks you, "Are you doing anything tonight?"
Hunter looks at him with an angry expression. 
"Back. Off. That's my girlfriend." Hunter says to him. 
He takes your hand and you two walk away. 

After you two do some more shopping for supplies, you get back to the ship. You go over to Tech to give him the part. 
"Thank you. I was hoping they would have it." He says. 
You walk back to Hunter's room and sit down on the bed next to him.
"I'm sorry for being like that earlier. At the shop." He apologizes.
You lean on his shoulder. "It's alright. I appreciate it, really." 
"You just... you mean the world- the whole galaxy to me, Y/N. I don't want to lose you." Hunter says.
"You won't lose me. I promise." You reassure him.
"Do you want to go stargazing later?" Hunter asks you.
"Where would we go?" You respond.
"The top of the ship. We could just lay on top of there." He says. 
"That sounds amazing." You say. 
He lays down on the bed. "Here. Come cuddle with me." 
You lay down and get close to him. Your head is on his chest, and your head rises with each breath he takes. You two just lay there for a while and appreciate the time you have to cuddle with each other. It starts to get darker, so you and Hunter go eat some rations. 
"Do you you want to go stargazing now?" He asks. 
"Yeah. Let's go." You say, exiting the ship with him.
It's nice to see him not wearing any armor at all. There's no fear that something will happen tonight. You leave your lightsaber in the ship because you just want to enjoy being people for the night.

You and Hunter climb the ladder on the side of the ship. You could Force jump up there, but you don't need to. The top of the ship is cold. You get goosebumps when your skin touches the ship. After all, you're still wearing the dress from earlier. 
Hunter sees you shivering. "I'll go get a blanket." 
You wait for him to come back. He tosses the blanket onto the top of the ship and then climbs up. He wraps it around you and smiles. He lays down next to you and sighs from the relaxation. The sky is perfectly clear and you can see all of the planets and stars. Hunter points to one of the planets you can see. 
"I don't know which one that is. Or which ones any of these are. I guess I've gotten used to just looking at the star map." He chuckles. 
"Me too." You reply. "I think I could've recognized all these planets if I was younger, though. When I was a Padawan, my master made me memorize nearly all of the Mid Rim territories at least." 
"Do you miss being a Padawan? Or a Jedi with the Order?" He asks.
You continue looking at the beautiful stars. "In some ways, yes. But it's nice to be able to make my own decisions and to be able to love someone."
"I'm really happy you joined our squad, Y/N." Hunter smiles. "I'm glad I met you."
"I'm glad you can put up with me." You joke.
You stand up to stretch. 
"My stars... you look so beautiful in the moonlight- or the... what lighting would this be? I mean, you always look beautiful. I'm not trying to say it's only now..." Hunter stammers. 
You laugh. "I know what you mean, love. You look quite handsome in this lighting as well." 
You two sit down next to each other. You rest your forehead on his. It feels so nice to be this close like earlier. He then holds you in his arms as you two look up at the stars again.
"My neck is definitely going to hurt in the morning..." You say.
"Well, it gives us an excuse to stay and cuddle in bed for a while tomorrow morning." Hunter replies, smiling at you.
