Olives eyes fluttered open, her face was wet with tears, she wiped her face slowly, her bedsheets blue and white sprawled over the bed, she was snuggled in tightly but as her eyes adjusted she could see the darkness and familiarity of the room she was in.
She looked around but Jeff was no where to be seen, she pulled on some socks, wearing only a long t-shirt and pants, she walked slowly down the steps to the second floor, odly quiet.
Usually Sally would be giggling away playing with her dolls and toys. Not today.
Olive Jogged down to the 1st Floor, she stood on the stair way slightly confused, Eyeless Jack appeared from his room silently before turning around and jumping slightly at her presence, his mask hung over his face hiding his true emotions
"Olivia. What are you doing up?"
"What do you mean? I'm not dead" she frowned
"Are you sure? You've been asleep for two days..." he grumbled
"Oh wow two days? Where is everyone? its early morning?" she questioned
"It's the eve of the times turning around, you know Halloween? so the times are different, it's midnight now in your world but here its morning."
Olivia nodded finally understanding
"For one night only? Is that why your leaving?"
He rolled his eyes...or at least she imagined him doing so, he sighed under his mask nodding
"You ask too many questions but yes. That's why I'm leaving."
His voice became agitated as he slid his way down the stairs, she followed a moment after him, without thinking.
He left out of the front doors as she walked into the kitchen, assuming she was alone.
"Haven't you left yet? Or have you come to gloat some more..." He growled not turning from the kitchen counter, stood in a black shirt and jeans, his black hair forming carefully around his white bleached features. It was odd to see him without his white hoodie.
"I don't know really, maybe gloat some more" she smiled as he slowly turned around, his face In complete bewilderment
"I thought it was..." he looked more pale than usual, bags hung under his eyes and his eyes were full of exhaustion and tiredness
"I know." she smiled, it was fake.
"I made toast" he held up a piece of toast, only slightly burnt, but non the less proud, he was quieter than normal.
"Why aren't you out killing?" she frowned staring at him as she walked slowly towards him, pushing her feelings aside.
"I was looking after you..." he grumbled shrugging half heartedly, before placing the toast down and pulling her into a tight hug.
"Uh jeff?" she wrapped her arms around him after a moment of hesitation
"what is it?" he looked down at her attempting to frown
"why are you hugging me so tightly? And doing this" she tried to point at the toast before his face dropped from confusion to disappointment
"Your mum?" he questioned
"What about her?" she asked curiously, Jeff grabbed Olivia's shoulders sternly keeping his eyes locked with hers
"Olive she's...gone" he murmered
"what? no she...she isn't?" Olivia shook her head, her face full of disgust, the emotions crawling back into her stomach as she remembered...
"Yes she is Olive" he looked at the floor, hardly wanting to see her expression
